I do actually play NFL games, but I only play the one off sort of matches where I just pick 2 teams and play. I never bother to try and play through a whole league etc. Thus I never need to save. I think the fact that it takes a whole mem card on most platforms to save put me off bothering to play the league etc modes.
:)

If you ever play Madden, you'll know why.
The game is great fun to play, but it's *extremely* stats-heavy, with every player and team having numerous atrtributes allocated to them.
It would take far too much time and effort to explain it in detail here - you'll just have to trust me when I say that the use of so much card space is fully justified.

Blame the MUPPETS who make the NFL games! It's their BAD ways of doing their saved games which makes it take up a whole mem card, not the mem card manufactures fault! I mean other games manage to use not too much of the mem card, so why do NFL games have to use so much?
:)
You might not care but others no doubt will.
Ok, so PS2 memory cards can save, what, 10+? (I have no idea), but up to 7 is great, you're not going to have 7 games on release (maybe) so you'll be ok. And anyway. Nintendo have announced that they will be releasing another memory card (official) that's 3 times bigger, so it won't matter.
And this new one will be about £25, me thinks, or less.
So, basically, the GC memory cards are not a rip off, unless you feel the urge to buy a blinkin' Madden game!

eeeeeeexactly!
All mem cards are a rip off. Much like all peripherals really!
:)

I do think the cards are a bit small, but at the end of the day, you have to make do with what you get, so it doesn't really matter.

As if I'd think that! :-)
Don't mind me, I'm just stirring it up a bit to get some conversation!
