Better than N64 memory cards, therefore not a rip off.
In the mean time, the 4Mbit (0.5Mbytes) is sufficient for now until the bigger official 8Mbit ones come around, (Ortega, the 251 block IS the 8Mbit).
But yes, seeing as the PS2 Official Memory cards are 16 times as big for only double the price, the current official memory cards are a bit of a rip-off, but seeing for what price we're getting the machine and the games, and seeing as better cards are coming out within a couple of months and there's always third party cards, it's nothing to make a big deal about.
Special Features
16 times the capacity of a standard memory card!
Over 1000 blocks of game save memory
64MB of true, uncompressed memory.
Just ordered it :)
No problems here. Should be out in June.
Actually, Play.com are selling the official 8 Megabit one for £14.99.
Which is nice...Says a 1st June Release.
Apparently there is a 251 slot one coming out soon as well.
As for a comeback on the PS2 memory card ting...Smackdown:JBI takes up more than half of the space on it :P
Oh...but its only one game? So is Madden...
:o)

Almost certainly 8 megaBITS (1 megaBYTE), though.
