Raikkonen fastest in 2nd practice with Hamilton coming in second, but Hamilton seemed to be having grip problems with Mercedes taking a long time to prepare their ultrasoft tyres to get the best grip.

It's been a good 1st practice session for Hamilton as he comes out on top, 0.2 seconds ahead of Vettel in second.
I know it's only the first shot in a long weekend but after the Monaco disaster it can only help his and Mercedes confidence.

Possible troubles between Vettel and Raikkonen? I loved it how Hamilton has helped to stir this up by saying that Vettel is obviously Ferrari's Number 1 driver.

No glory for Alonso in the Indy 500 as he retires from the race, although driving for McLaren this season he's used to it.
What a horror smash there was as well, how lucky were the drivers to come away with their lives.

Yet another win for Vettel puts him further clear at the top of the driver's standings.
Hamilton finished in 7th which wasn't a bad result given he started in 13th, however I'm sure if he'd been told he'd have finished there before the race weekend started he'd have been horrified. The new set-up on his car has been a disaster.

A Ferrari lockout a the front of the grid but it's Raikkonen on pole position for the first time since 2008.
Bottas in 2nd and Hamilton way down in 14th after a disastrous session, although due to Button's penalty he'll start in 13th.
Needless to say Hamilton has it all to do to get any sort of decent points from this race.

He struggled all through qualifying, slipping all over the track as he struggled for traction, although he was a bit unlucky as an accident wrecked his last go at getting into the top 10.
