*Feeding Sniper's message through the Snip-O-Filter*

Apparently, this means "Where is Billericay?"

I'm confused too.

10,000 years is a Myriad

It comes from the Greek, a Myriad of soldiers. In ancient Greece, they didn't count up very far at the beginning, and their highest number was initially 1,000.

So they used the word Myriad to represent any number more than 1,000. Basically, it meant 'a lot'.

Later on, as armies began to grow in size, Myriad was used for a troop of 10,000 soldiers, so now the collective noun for 10,000 is Myriad.

Hence: 10,000 years = a Myriad.
