Check out this latest rumour - apparently, Activision have just bought Rare. These are currently rumours, so here's your challenge - go find me some evidence! Scour news sites, find me some info! 2: Starfox and Donkey Kong won't be mutliformat because they are Nintendo characters and not Rare's.
In October last year Activision acquired Treyarch Invention for around $20m, and in January this year they bought the remaining 40% of Gray Matter Interactive Studios (now they own all 100% of it) for $3.1m. Then last week they bought out Shaba Games for $9.5m. So it looks like they're on a roll, but Rareware would be the icing on the cake in terms of the games industry if the story proved to be true.
And it was in paper that stuck to the hot, wet kebab when cooked.
