Check out this latest rumour - apparently, Activision have just bought Rare. These are currently rumours, so here's your challenge - go find me some evidence! Scour news sites, find me some info! i think the amount of replys this topic has created shows how big rare are and why are they this big because of nintendo don`t believe this partnership can be broken

Joby Stephens has just brought Microsoft.

I don't believe any of this!! Of course, they may WANT to buy Rare, but I very much doubt that they have actually brought them!

If there's any truth in this rumour then it's probably got something to do with something like: 'Activision are after Rare's no.1 Game Designer - due to his work on Perfect Dark and Goldeneye.'
-But I also doubt that.

It's probably an Aprill Fools joke that has surfaced too late. It was probably started on some 5 year old's Geocities site, then it went into loads of Chat Rooms and rarely visited forums, and somehow caught the attention of the new's monkey!
And I bet that kid'll be laughing his head off when he realises how far it's gone.

I will go and have a look on a Bloomberg machine, if Activison have been in talks with Rare in any way it will say....

And the only way that it could make the Gamecube worse, would be by third parties not putting games on the Gamecube because Rareware are on all consoles now. But of course, that's obviously what you meant. ;0)

Isn't saying "We don't need your good games" like saying "I'm sorry, I refuse to talk to you, I've talked to enough people in this life already."?

I'm happy to play as many games as I can get my... truly messed up... hands on. If someone likes it, maybe I do too.

Rare have probably not denied the rumors because hey have yet to hear of them.
