DL you're on a BT based connection aren't you? Therefore your stats will be different and can't really be compared to a different line on a different network. Your SNR is lower hence a higher sync rate. The profiles on these lines are different from BT's so we'll give it the weekend and then if the sync and stability is the same we can try and get them on a lower SNR profile. The sync has increased though but I would have thought it would be a little higher.
Here are my stats:
Max. DSLAM throughput kbit/s 80000 20000
Min. DSLAM throughput kbit/s 128 0
Attainable data rate kbit/s 52200 16842
Current throughput kbit/s 53288 17096
Seamless rate adaptation off off
Latency fast fast
Impulse Noise Protection 34.9 49.9
G.INP on on
Signal-to-noise ratio dB 6 6
Bitswap on on
Line attenuation dB 14 18
Profile 17a
G.Vector off off
Carrier record B43c B43c
:P
Thanks Eccles ... and so ... you are on fibre :¬P

Here are speed estimates for your line FYI:
9800 Kbps 9dB target
10873 Kbps 6dB target
12065 Kbps 3dB target

[/i]Thanks Hmmm, appreciate that. My old connection averaged around 9 -11 Mbs so if my new connection is able to remain stable at a 6db setting (which I will request trying next week) I reckon this might be pretty similar. The 9db setting I'm currently on isn't too bad though, if my connection does become unstable at a lower setting I'll be happy with this.
Sounds like a plan!

That sounds about right. I also had some (out of the blue) connectivity issues at 3db.
Freeola support manually increased it to 6db and things settled down.
The change of circuit equipment might have removed my connection problems at 3db. I'll keep dropping the SNR until it starts to misbehave.
Using your line stats these are the speeds(estimates) you can expect on your line at different Target SNRMs:
13858 Kbps 9dB target
15377 Kbps 6dB target
17062 Kbps 3dB target
So it looks as if BTw were using the 3db SNR margin for you previously to get to 17Mbs.

I'll give it another couple of days then requests the drop to 6db.
It doesn't look like I'm going to get near the 17Mbs+ that I was getting before the change. (not a complaint)
ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 9604 kbps 1023 kbps
Line Attenuation 38.5 db 21.5 db
Noise Margin 7.8 db 11.3 db
and here's a speed test result like I said a definite improvement (same test averaged around 6Mbs before).
Oh and HD You Tube video's seem to work now as well! :)
Thanks again everyone.
