The "General Games Chat" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
If someone posts something deemed as spam, you that think you're helping, are doing the opposite.
Here's an example:
Post 1: Y R Gamecube so gay?
Post 2: This is spam, stop it.
Post 3: Yeah, try to come up with a decent post, idiot.
Post 4: Yet another rubbish newbie post
and so it goes on, this post has a few replies, people think it must be interesting, read it, and reply with something that doesn't help.
Meanwhile, a decent post, more than a few paragraphs long is slowly slipping down the page as you tell each other that a spade is a spade.
So here's a suggestion, don't reply to rubbish posts.
If someone writes something, and no one replies, maybe they'll see why, and benefit from it more than if you attack them.

It's a cycle.
It doesn't mean that half a dozen other people also have to tell them that they're retarded too though, does it?
And I don't think we can stop them from having stupid children. I wait for the day that my kids come home from school and tell me that someone said this to them "You think you're special coz you can write your own name"
I just know that's going to happen one day.
(Victor Hugo, go look it up instead of writing topics about why the Gamecube is the best)
It's a cycle.
> I wonder what would've happened if this got no replies...
:-D
I would have popped it, and called you all jerks. ;-)
:-D
While were on the subject the reply quoting this message button isn't there to quote the masses and 'one liner it'
But the urge to put people down to make themselves look big... ooh, it's pretty strong in a lot of members.
