We fear change.

Maybe start with something simple as changing 'Special Reserve PRICES & REVIEWS' to 'PRODUCT SEARCH' or 'Special Reserve PRODUCT SEARCH', or something.

I think having the search thing in the side navigation would only work if you lost the pull down menu and just had the text box, but it may look out of place.

I agree that its position is fine, but maybe just needs a little something to say 'look, here I am'.

I think the search box should be swtiched back to the left side.
Having it on the right is way too confusing!

No way man, the search tool should be right bang infront of you so if someone gets lost they can find it easily. Its kinda in a good position now but could do with a bright colour and new look or something.

Just make it a bit more obvious and not look like one of those evil pop-up things.

:-)

Understand?

Perhaps it should be in the left blue side bar, isn't that where people normally expect the search box to be...?

Oh yeah, my problem about the 'Search' thingy was that it just looks like one of those banners/pop-ups you usually find which says 'You have won £10,000,000' and it has one of those crosses of its own so people often mistake it for the actual cross thingy that closes the box, thus leading to lots more pop-ups. So people might be grudging to click on it.

Also the fact that its blue and hides within all the rest of the blue stuff. Not exactly noticable straight away. Maybe a bright colour to go round it or even a different colour altogether. How 'bout the trademark red & yellow like the SR splat.

Laters.
