The SIMS is a good game, and so far only on pc. But in a few months time, this will also be available for PS2. Great news! But why are there no signs of the XBox or GC versions? This will leave PS2 as the only console that can play the SIMS. Surprised XBox didnt get an easy port - since it has a pc processor.

Correct! Since for people who want the SIMS on console, only the PS2 has it. Trying to seperate the console world from the pc world a bit. There are also lots of PS2's out there that the SIMS could be played on. Less GC's and XBox. Plus, the SIMS for PS2 is not just a straight port.

The only people who like the sims are little kiddies, older gamers who are more used to playing games which have actual game-play stay away from this game like the plague. Infact it does spread like the plague, and it looks like the PS2 is next to be infected.

I thought the GC was a traditional type console. I CPU, but with loads of other co-processors to share the work load. Whereas the XBox is mainly just a P3.

So when the Xbox gets ports from the PS2, that's bad. But when the PS2 gets ports from the PC, that's good.

Right?

At least with the console version, we wont have to keep putting in those expansion packs eating up disc space. Some 1 say 1.0Gb? My pc only has a 6Gb HD, and I have used about 3Gb already.

I don't think it's RPG based, it just has a single player game with a few set tasks to complete. What will these tasks be though? Get Bill to the toilet before he craps his pants? Talk endlessly with another sim until they become friend? Might be better, but I don't think will be better by much.

PS2 owners are really going to want to rent this one before they decide to part cash with it; I wish I had that opportunity.

Apparently the PS2 version will be more of an RPG-based game that sees you controlling your Sims to make them complete certain tasks and stuff within acquired time-limits...

Sounds a bit better than yet-another expansion pack!
