Did I say it was already on PS2

for some people? so, again i ask, who has played the SIMS on PS2 before?
comon, hands up...
It's a great game, and whilst it may not have all the explosions and blood that moron gamers enjoy, that doesn't make it a girls game.
It many not be liked by some, but it's been in the charts for bloomin ages, so some must like it. Granted, it does get a bit tiresome eventually, and has been milked quite a bit, but it's still a very good game.
It's very relaxing and accessible and anyone can enjoy it, gamers young or old. My 7 year old sister loves it to bits, but also my 24 year old bro has a go on it every now and then, and always enjoys it.
To the uninitiated, it may seem like a boring and tedious game, but once you get into it, it's a very fun and addictive title that offers very long lastability and much enjoyment to fans.
Maybe it's just not cool enough for some of you people *shrugs*.
Whether it will work well on PS2 is a different matter...

Did I say it was already on PS2 - I DON'T THINK SO. Lots of people however have already seen it on PC (friends/family) - but don't own a copy yet, since they don't have a pc/don have one that can run it/or don want to run it on a pc. But they do have a PS2 - now they will be able to play the SIMS (or at least when PS2 SIMS is released).
ONly people who like it are either girls or "interior designers" and we know what side of the fence most interior designers fall on.

So a 3D engine will somehow eradicate the boredom of the game? Right, very unlikely. The only thing that’s going to make that game any less dull than it already is is if Maxis take the time to finish it off properly. It has no game-play whatsoever, you don't play you observe, it's like an overgrown tamagotchi (remember those?) which isn't a recommendation.
I know you're looking forward to this game, I was when I first saw it reviewed on the PC and when I first bought it I thought it was great. After a week however, it became extremely dull and often repetitive, it has no challenges, it isn't fun and it's just too damn boring. Trust me, save you're £40 for a decent game, or at least rent this one before you decide to waste so much money on it.
So for some people, PS2 SIMS is a first.

you are talking shi1te, the sims has never been on PS2, just like GTA has never been on GC, or that doshin has never been on x-box. I'ts still a poor quality EA rip-off, and only little girls [and camp boys] can get any enjoyment out of it.

OK, one last time...
Of all the gamers out there, some don't have a pc. Some do have a pc, but don't like playing games on it. Some have an older pc that cant run some of the games. Many of these people will have a console of some sort.
Many of the people know what the SIMS plays and looks like, since they have seen it on a friends PC, or seen a demo, or whatever. Some people wont like the game anyway (fair enough), but some will. These people will want to play the game, but cant or wont for the reasons set out in the first few sentences.
PS2 SIMS release allows the people who cant/or don't want to use a pc to play the SIMS for the first time. Some gamers who also cant/or don't want to use a pc own the GC or XBox. They still wont be able to play this game. So for some people, PS2 SIMS is a first.
Me, I have a pc which can run the SIMS. But I prefer to play games on the console which happens to be a PS2. I know what the SIMS is like to play, and I want it. But I don't want to use my PC for it. So the PS2 SIMS fits my requirement very well. If I had XBox or GC, I still would not be able to play the SIMS - unless I had the PC version - which I dont want to do.
There must also be other people out there that have other consoles such as XBox and GC. Some of these people may not have a pc, or may prefer to play games on the console anyway. People in this group don't have the option to play the SIMS on their console, since it's only due out for PS2 for the moment. For PS2 owners who cant or don't want to play games on the pc, the SIMS is a first for them.
