"PS2 - another 1st"

The SIMS is a good game, and so far only on pc. But in a few months time, this will also be available for PS2. Great news! But why are there no signs of the XBox or GC versions? This will leave PS2 as the only console that can play the SIMS. Surprised XBox didnt get an easy port - since it has a pc processor.

Despite being the eldest of the consoles the PS2 is riding high - Nintendo are in deep crap after losing Rare and getting done for high prices (whey! :D), and the X-Box? Pah, it's most popular game us Halo 2 and that doesn't even have a confirmed release date. :D

And with massive sellers like Vice City and SmackDown 4, it looks like another successful Christmas for Mr Sony.

Ant - Owns a PS2, thankfully. :D

I wouldnt pay much attention to chart positions..turok evo managed top 10 at one stage :S

If I remember correctly, the latest all-format chart has only two games in it that are not available for PS2. One is Marry Your Sunshine, though that is swiftly dropping, and the other is The Sims. If this goes to PS2, even if some of us hate it, its going to sell well, and PS2 will spread even further over the top charts, which is obviously what each company would love to do.

If its not a game we like, so what, we won`t buy it, but there are clearly a lot of people out there that love The Sims, so it`ll be nice for them to have a go with a console.
