DW gave me the idea for this thread so blame him if it drops faster than Goatboy's pants on a night out to the local manlove bar.

Anyways.

What did you do for work experiance?

Me? I spent five days in a florists.
Hell yeah.

I filled buckets for a week.
Oh yeah I made a bouquet too. Sold it for £18.99 too. I was well proud.
Got to deliver some flowers to a morgue too. Didn't get to see a dead body though:(
Saw the table they gut them on though!
All in all. It "licked balls"

*Counts on her fingers*....
Good lord that was like five years ago!
Oh I feel old.

So what did you do?

I worked for my evil scientist Aunt for 2 weeks! It was wicked, they had these big machines that did all sorts of crazy crap and they let me have a go with them and play with the chemicals! To top it all, they played football at lunchtimes and I scored a goal against this Irish bloke that kept on swearing!

I worked in my local cinema - It was quite boring but I could watch the films and help myself to sweets!

I did 2 weeks at "The Temple".
It's the legal area of London, where all the QCs and Barristers work.
Really boring until the QC I was assigned to went to The High Court and I got to go with him.

Mostly they sent me out for sammiches.

I worked in a funky record/clothing shop in Soho called Unity. It was wicked. Didn't start till 10am, and when I got in I could whack on my favourtie tunes over the insanely loud system to wake me up. I didn't really want to do it as a career, was just my favourite shop at the time. :)

For my week in secondary school, i was a plane engineer at BAE systems.
For my month with my college, i'm gonna go to the Ministry of Defense in the IT and Naval section. This involves going down to Plymouth and programming Submarines and stuff.

Year 11 or sixth form?

In my GCSE work experience I spend three days at a pump factory. A pumping rythym is now embedded in my mind, for good or evil.
And they had pornographics calenders.

In sixth form work experience, I spent five days at some naff (did you know that s***e is not allowed on this site any more?) computer engineering company. Some guy there was 19 and working for about £3 an hour. I don't feel sorry for him though, as he was one of those FPS addicts...

Work experience. Utterly pointless.

I did a week in SR's Bristol store, which was pretty cool.
