DW gave me the idea for this thread so blame him if it drops faster than Goatboy's pants on a night out to the local manlove bar.

Anyways.

What did you do for work experiance?

Me? I spent five days in a florists.
Hell yeah.

I filled buckets for a week.
Oh yeah I made a bouquet too. Sold it for £18.99 too. I was well proud.
Got to deliver some flowers to a morgue too. Didn't get to see a dead body though:(
Saw the table they gut them on though!
All in all. It "licked balls"

*Counts on her fingers*....
Good lord that was like five years ago!
Oh I feel old.

So what did you do?

Me? 2 weeks in Safeway. Yes, it was boring. Yes, it wasnt at all what I wanted.
Oh well, at least I got access to 'spoiled' stock (like a 6 bag multipack of crisps had burst, so i took the 6 bags inside off their hands for free. Arent I a nice guy). And I managed to take lunchbreaks of up to 3 hours instead of one. So that was ok. Yep.

I was supposed to be working at Eidos but my teachers mate blew me out so I ended up working at my Dads work (design and make office and factory type of thing) which was incredibly boring.

2 years ago, I had an ultra boring time at the halifax. All I did was sort files, chuck bits of paper into the shredding machine and watch the staff serve customers. The high point was actually listening to a message that some loony left on his answering machine (the mortgage broker rung him up).

Recently (last week, in fact), I worked at Endsleigh Insurance, whci hsounds boring, but wasn't. Hell, my boss was the guy in charge of club nights in a local club!! He also called one of his friends batty boy, and sung to "Teenage Dirtbag" while playing in his car, but other than that, he's cool.

Oh, and all the staff there had fast cars. :)

I worked for a local paper and spent my week ordering back issues of the paper into date order. Journalism lost an important ally that week.

My mate worked for the "Earth Station" at Goonhilly, the place with super space based communications and loads of interesting things going on. They made him do photocopying for four days, on the fifth he told them to get bent and refused to co-operate with their demands.

His final report, issued by the employers, is the worst the school has ever received.

I went to this random place for 3 days called The Pool nad it's basically a place for the unemployed to gain skills to get employed. And we bascially designed a 6-week plan for retard to become not-so-retarded-but-still-jobless.

A *real* sense of helping there :S

I had a well good work experience. I went to a graphical design and reproduction place. I got to use mac's and mess around half the time. Plus they had a free drinks machine which I treated like an "all you can eat buffet"

Ahhh fond memories. I got offered a job for when I leave school too as an artworker!

So so proud!
