Have you played it?

However good the gameplay/graphics/controls/design is, if the reviewer completed it in 2 days and found it very shallow, he has every right to rate it low.

As for the comparison to Luigi's Mansion, don't forget that was the first Gamecube game, things have come a long way since then.

Now we need to see NOMs review, seeing as they have improved the marking, if they give it 8 or 9 out of 10, I would NGCs low score down to a dissapointment after the massive hype it had, and the five years Rare spent making it.

Come on, a game thats been in development for five years *should* be longer than 30 hours.

Actualy, looking at all these games, the reviews are incredibly low scoring. And ED? 89% both reviews? Why so many games stuck on 89%? Both Resi and this got that score, while Luigis Mansion (A VERY SHORT GAME WITH LITTLE REPLAY VALUE) gets 90%??? What?!

There is also a problem with playing JAP/US titles before their PAL versions, (ie Resident Evil - 93% to 89%) At first the excitemnt at getting the game blows them away...then about 3 months later, once they have spotted any flaws, then they review it again, and therefore the score is dropped, as most of the excitment has dissapated away. It does spoil a games image by doing that really.

SFA! Well, I'll have to play it, but thats an odd score........indeed.

But it would be the publishing company paying anyway. What's £40 to a large company?

I think all mags do the, "this games looks great, sure to be a classic" in the early stages cause if they say its really bad, i dont know, the developer might make them pay for it instead of sending it free to them...like fifa 2002/nom
