Well the women said first come first serve. Anyway my order is "In process" and that was at 8:15pm on the 4th. They must have only just updated the actual order status page today. I think they are working in PST as when I ordered my XBox live kit it was 8 hours earlier on the order page. So hopefully, i'll get a email late tonight or early tommorow telling me my order is dispatched.

It’s not first come first served, your order does not go for processing until payment has been completed and that can take up to 3 days. So you may be the first person to order but if it takes your bank 3 days then you will be at the back of the queue, and some one that ordered hours after you may be in front because there bank is quicker.

So are you clicking on the status link in your confirmation letter ? If so, I really don't understand why you can and I can't if this system is supposedly down. I tried again a moment ago and it still doesn't take me to the site to see it. :-|

He wouldnt be able to tell you 5 working days then if he couldnt check your order. The women on the phone said to me that they had over subscribed people. Dont be suprised if it doesnt take until next week for you to get your order, seeing as you ordered late at night.

I agree that they should have tired to get the people who bought XBox at £300 to get XBox live first, but some people wouldnt have filled in the registeration in. I havent registered my XBox online, I tired but the page wouldnt send the info.

Anyway i'll keep my order status updated on here, and also if I dont see a change by Thursday i'll ring MS up again. Hope they can get mine and others sorted and dispatched tommorow.

To be honest, I'm not too happy about this first come first served crap. Sorry to anyone here who is looking forward to the beta test as much as me and only recently got their X-Box, but I really feel that Microsoft should have offered the places to the people that bought the console at launch with the £300 price tag.
I know they gave out the thankyou package thing, but with the price cuts and stuff they've done, I feel they should be showing a bit of loyalty to their early customers by offering them the option of going on the beta test before offering the remaining places to the masses.

I've been dying to get on X-Box Live for months - ever since I heard of it happening and I've spent a shed load on the console since launch. It really aggrovates me to think that I could well not get onto the beta test while some git whose owned the console for a week and just grabbed the likes of one game could. It just seems very unfair to me to be in this situation and all this confusion has me worried that I might miss out thanks to me having a poxy job which led to me having to make the purchase later in the day.
After waiting for what seemed a lifetime for my thankyou package to finally get to me, all this latest stuff just doesn't have me oozing with confidence in recieving my beta kit.
If I don't get it I'm seriously gonna phone up Microsoft and start chucking my bloody dummy at them.

One thing that really annoys me about people is about the GTA franchise.

Some people are virtually ejaculating all over the instruction manuel before they even put the game disc in.

I'd rather play Xbox Live, and Splinter Cell until January anyway.
