As for them checking how long people have had their X-Boxes - the idea is you register the machine mate. ;-) I did that as soon as I bought the console. :-)
I tried looking at the mail while on msn but it didn't help. Stupid bloody link...
Wouldn't a good way to check if it's gone through be to see if the money's been taken out of your account?

With the Order Status page, have you got MSN installed? If so just put in your password for that when the box pops up.
How would they know who has had there XBox longest. I have had it since day one but havent registered it.

I'm just telling what I was told. Personally I'd love to think that I'm in, but for some reason my stupid poxy hotmail won't connect to the order status thing so I'm completely in the dark. :-(
All I can do is call in a couple of days to see whats happening - I get the feeling I'm going to be disappointed though as its just my luck to put all this effort into getting onto X-Box Live only to end up feeling royally shafted.
I said to the woman on the phone that I was a little gutted over the first come first serve thing and she said she wouldn't be surprised if they look at whose had their X-Box's longer and stuff. Again, for me its a matter of waiting and hoping because I can't even view the status of my order.

Just called Microsoft again. The girl on the line this time was a lot more helpful. It turns out that they haven't actually got round to picking the English beta testers yet.
She said to call again in a couple of days to see whats happening. So hopefully by then we'll be able to find out if we're definatly in.

Of putting the stuff in the boxes :). So really it should be sent any day now. My order was change to "In Process" at 8:15 pm Yesterday, so hopefully will be dispatched today or tommorow.
