"Splinter Cell"

Just wondering on whether to get this game or not, as I havent managed to find the demo at all in town. I like the Metal Gear Solid games and think that Splinter Cell looks good. So is it anything like Metal Gear Solid, and are there any differences. Also with only 14 missions is this game going to be too short, what does the Lastability rating get in OXBM? Are the missions going to take 5 minutes to complete or an hour?

Suppose this could also be a thread to talk about Splinter Cell e.t.c.

Splinter Cell has the advantage of actually being available this year, a week or so in fact, whereas Metroid Prime won't be out until early 2003. So keep telling yourself 9.8 whilst everyone gets down to playing Splinter Cell.

And when Metorid Prime does come out over here, we'll be starting the countdown to Halo 2.... :)

Been playing the demo a lot and reading up on it. So much detail ! One thing that impressed me is when your aiming the rifle to sniper someone. You press the Y button to bring the target up, then you hold the left shoulder button to hold your breath and help steady your aim !
Plus by the looks of it you have to manually pick locks and stuff. :-)
Has so much realism and various techniques in the game for Fisher to use that it makes Solid Snake look like an amatuer !

Can't wait for this game. :-) The downloadable content on X-Box Live just adds even more longevity to the game - excellent stuff. :-)

Pfft they are different genres!

Oh and Splinter Cell will have lasted longetivity, there is gonna be
downloadable content on Xbox Live.

Yep, loved it. But I completed it, the game's out soon, and I always just throw away my demo discs when I've finished with them!
