Suppose this could also be a thread to talk about Splinter Cell e.t.c.

Just where you like it, eh? ;-p

*sigh*
Why did you have to bring that up? It's all behind me now...
:-)

Well, all those years of practicing in public toilets will now be tested...

Well, it'll go on my Xmas list...

Four! Well, five if you count Max Payne, which I completed and sold on.

Sneak up behind them with the gun drawn and take them hostage (gun to the head jobbie), then press the shoot button. You don't shoot them, but pistol-whip them, knocking them cold.

So you'll be dusting down the beast and buying another game for it then? That brings your total to, what, 3 games?
:-)
This time, however, things were different. I took my time and got more out of the game. Still killed all the guards in the level though :-) Well, I think I have. Not sure if I've been through the whole level. If I have, then it's really small :-(
A couple of things I want to know:
Can I just knock a guard out? If so, how? The controls listed in the magazine are pretty rubbish, to be honest. Also, how do I do that splits thing halfway up the wall?
I haven't managed to find the bloke yet. I think I know where he is, but I'd already used my lockpick and couldn't open the door :-(
One niggle with the game:
When I was looking at some of the data sticks, there was more info than would fit on the screen, but it wouldn't let me scroll down through, so I couldn't read it all :-(
Also, the graphical glitch that has already been mentioned, but I reckon they'll fix that before it's released.
Apart from those two things the game is pretty good. It's not my normal sort of game, and I had no intention of buying it before I played the demo. Now it's a possible, but not definate purchase.
The graphics are great, I loved the bit where the guard was behind the curtain, the way it all flowed and moved was spot on!
The fibre optic camera is great as well, as is the night vision and heat sensor vision thing. I was a bit annoyed that I didn't find any more ammo through the level. Surely the dead guards would have some that I could steal?
Anyway, great demo - just not sure if I want to spend forty quid on the whole game just yet...
