October:- 2 games thrown in for free the incredible Jet Set Radio: Future and SEGA GT 2002
November:- 2 games added for a mere £40 onto the price, two of the X-box's best games Halo and Splinter Cell, and thats including JSRF and SEGA GT 2002.
December:- ?
Come on isn't this a bit overboard now?
If there is a most important country when it comes to sales, its the U.S. The Megadrive did pretty badly in Japan, but the West took a big liking to it which meant a nice long life with plenty of sales for the console.
If the X-Box is doing well in Europe and the U.S, then Microsoft really don't have to give a stuff about Japan. Japanese developers know this too, which is why names like Tecmo, Capcom, Namco and Sega are more than happy to put their games on the X-Box.
Look at Sega and Tecmo in particular - they are bringing a number of titles that are X-Box exclusive.
Tecmo are putting their Dead Or Alive series (beat em ups and volleyball) along with Ninja Gaiden while Sega are bringing a number of their classics on top of the titles they have already released.
To me that shows that these developers see the X-Box as being far from a doomed console just because the Japanese aren't creaming their pants over it like they are the GC.
Give me the U.S and European market mate and your more than welcome to the Japanese. ;-)

what? that pales into insignifigance when compaired with £40 pounds

well obviously, anyone would buy a console with 10 best seller games for 50p :)

no need to stoop. simply sit!

the gamecube is absouloutly THRASHING the x-box in japan, and thats were it really counts. sales have DOUBLED! the US is also a key point, yes, but the UK doesn't matter much overall.

and loose Millions and millions in the procces. casual games will buy an ultra cheap console and buy a few games.
a 'hardcore' gamer would doubt the stability of a console that is lowering its price almost every month 'n' a half, but would buy lots of good on the console of their choce software.
and dont snipe back about how if nintendo were to pull the same stunt, I would praise their actions. I would seriously worry and consider buying games in bulk because of their apparent failure.

I don't know but David Dickinson had something to do with it.

Oo-er, explain please :D.

How do you? One of the cuts that happened after it was released happened over the course of a night and GAME found out about it within the daily bulletin...
Well done.
I don't mind the console, as you guys know. However, I hate, rephrase, I deteste the power Microsoft believe they have as a company. Bullying their way into the gaming market, suing Bungie then buying them out and giving out false sales statistics. Its all too much like 1984. I do sometimes post with hate to the console because for the xboxians out there, it will be a HUGE shame if Nintendo ever leave the hardware market. It wouldn't as I can see it be as much of a loss to the market if Microsoft left. However they won't because they can afford to stay there as they seem to be able to sell shoddy and crap operating systems.
