According to IGN.

"Earlier today in a Dow Jones release, THQ's president and CEO Brian Farrell said that he thinks that Microsoft is "gaining traction" with sales of its Xbox console. He also noted that Nintendo's next-generation hardware seems to be in a popularity slump.
"I think we'll hear better Xbox hardware sales, while GameCube is still struggling," Farrell said.

Farrell's comments are the latest in a stream of complaints from publishers dissatisfied with GameCube's current selling rate in the market and adds to growing industry support for Microsoft's year-old console.

Nintendo of America is betting on a strong showing of its big holiday title Metroid Prime, a first-person action-adventure set in a sci-fi backdrop, coupled with its new Platinum GameCube, to drive sales of hardware and software through the fourth quarter. Meanwhile Xbox is banking on the success of Xbox Live and a plump 2003 lineup which includes Halo 2, Fable, and Midtown Madness 3.

More as it becomes available."

And people still think X-Box is dying.

Okay, fair enough - I'll take your word for it.

I'm not too sure about all of this. The only thing I know, is that if Nintendo pulled out of the market, leaving me with just 6 games and a 'Cube due to financial problems - I'd say good luck to them, and think of my console as money well spent.

That's very true, and something I've been saying for a while. Super Mario Bros. 3 is still one of my favourite games of all time. I do, however, find Super Mario Sunshine great fun too.

Admittedly, yes, but with a $2,000,000,000 loss and more, alongside the fact that they will never make a profit off the X-Box - I doubt Microsoft's Games Division are very rich at the moment. Of course, the rest of Microsoft is probably rolling in it.

Christmas, anyone?

Okay - misunderstanding :).

So my balls are in a temporary state of gravitational disarray? Spare me the puberty jokes please, you're merely proving your own lack of maturity.

Well that's really up for debate. You can quote lists all you want, but you just won't convince me that the X-Box will outperform the GameCube next year (and vice versa).

Oh, that's great, isn't it? Here we have it people - the results of a man who cannot sustain his argument. Looks like I've proved him wrong, after all.

Yes, Tilta is correct.

The only game to impress me on the XBox is Morrowind, and that impressed me more on the PC.

I enjoy playing the Gamecube games more. I think thats just the difference for me between the two consoles. The enjoyability factor.

I want everyone from this forum and all 'loyal' XBox fans to give Metroid a go for more than an hour, get over the original controller issues and you will find one of, if not, the best game ever.
