Here a question.

How long do people think the N64 has left to live?

With games like Perfect Dark, Zelda: The Continuing Sage, Turok 3, A Resident Evil game, Top Gear Rally 2, and a bunch of other wicked games this year. How long will the N64 live for? Specially with the PS2 and Dolphin on the horizon how much longer can the N64 last?

The big fish. The ultimate catch. You cant say you have finished Zelda till you have baged him. YES HE's THE HYLIAN LOACH!!!!!
And here is a way to catch him.

Ok go into the Fishing pond as Adult Link right before the cockrel crows to signal the day time pop on your Zora tunic and trusty iron boots and pay for your rod. Before you start to fish for hours walk to the centre of the pond and look around with C-UP the loach at first will look like a stone on the bottom of the pond until he moves. He is black and long with sparkling scales along his side at first he looks like one of the other fish in size but get close and he is bigger than you think. He swam right past my camera up close he looked as big as a shark!.
Of couse he is not that big.
Once you have located and seen him once he is not hard to find again when he settles on the bottom of the pond you can see him with your head above water.
Use C-up to locate the loach and then cast it should land right on him he will do nothing not even move at first i thought he was dead.
Do not move your lure. Oh and by the way the sinking lure is essential (find it on the log or at the mouth of the stream).
Eventualy the Loach will go up to the surface he could go left or right take note of this and wait for him to return.
Bring your line back and cast again this time further to side the loach swam to but still close to him and wait.
When he begins his journy again wiggle your line with the control stick and he should be attracted them fish like normal he should be easy to pull in.And he is yours Yahoo! my loach weighed 29 but see if your is different be sure to take a snap shot of your catch with the weight displayed it may be usefull for competitions

Not a clasic racing game but a bit of fun non the less.
San francisco Rush is just another arcade racer with unrealistic scenary and cars but i enjoyed it for a while finding short cuts and jumping over buildings its good fun.
There is no plot as is with all racing games and no clear goals its just to play to fill in times when you are sick of things like Goldeneye and are waiting to win Perfect Dark.
You can race in a legue which seems like a bit of a shambles with no particular course order you start of on 3 mirrored you can also do two player races and thats about it.
Not all that fun for serious fans of the racing genre it offers nothing new but for those just starting to get into racers it could be a good start

Ok so its not a clasic but all the same its a good game.
The basic plot is that a missile carier is transporting two defective nuclear missles to a safe detenation site but its guidence system fails and it is locked on course right through towns and citys which must be evacuated and then destroyed.
Cue the Blastcorps a team of people and machines that will get the job done.
At first you have to clear the way for the missles by using the different machines available to you from the J-bomb a flying/stompling robot to the ramdozer a insanely powerfull bull dozer once the path is cleared the mission is complte.
Dont expect all out manic destruction there is a lot of strategy involved like pushing explosive crates around to blow up those very strong buildings and filling holes with blocks.
As well as the serious mission there are a wealth of bonus missions like races and timed destruction.
And thats not all you can return to a mission and destroy every building in sight you also have to free survivors and collect RDU's which are basicly waypoints this is the only thing the game could have done without as looking for the last RDU from a hundered is irriatating to say the least.
At first i found Blast-Corps boring and pointless but after a while i began to enjoy it and still do.
Its not worth spending a lot of your hard earned £'s but get it second hand its still worth a look in

Being an incredible fan of the Starwars universe and safe in the knowlage that this game was released BEFORE episode 1(JarJarBinks-arg)
And after reading the book "Shadows of the Empire" I decided it would be safe to buy The Game I ws right in thinking that this was not a bad game and thankfull to the gods it did not feature Episode one.
The game is very varied and is impossible to put into any sort of Genre apart from action adventure at first you fly a snow speeder and take down the AT-AT with your tow cable just like in the film and just as you prepare yourself for another space battle you suddenly find yourslf walking through echo base with a blaster in hand and an Imperial Task force snapping at your heels my point is that you never know what this game is gong to throw at you it does not rely on your knowlage of Starwars either so you dont have to even know who luke skywalker is to finish the game its not often that you find a character on your side the only rule that aplies is shoot every thing that moves.
At first i thought this game would have been better roma fist person view but i was son proved wrong the view is perfect for every level even fighting the boss's of which there are a good few ranging from a robot who owns a scrap yard to Boba-fet himself the legendary bounty hunter there are a few space battles here and there and you never get bored you have to know what happens next which drives you to finish the level the game also requres strategy running in all blasters blazing will not always win you the level the sneaky aproach is sometimes essential.
I found the game exiting to play especialy the hover bike riding at mos eisly i maneged to knock out the last gamg biker just before ran out of time.
You have to play this game to know what i mean and you can pick it up cheap now its worth £10 to add it to your colection.
Over all this game should appeal to everybody (apart from those who hate action and shooting games) but will especialy please fans of the original Films And this will most likely be the last game every to feature the Real Starwars.

For those who have completed the game on medium difficulty does dash make it out of the Skyhook alive a i cant be bothered to fight Bobafet again to find out

I just wanted to say how glad I am that people are starting to see how good the N64. My PSX owning mates are now selling their PSX's. Their are still loads of good games to come for the N64 as well.

I totallyagree with infoman, if you want info on the best stuff, e.g. N64 then you should buy a mag for the damn console!
N64's are excellent and beat the plastation in every respect, but then I would say this because I am a proud father of my beutiful baby 64.
I havn't bought a console amg in ages, the last time I bought one was about 3 years ago, and I was trying to beat all the faster times for Goldeneye, I completed facility ooagent in 1min:53secs..I didn't think it was possible.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
Impressive control panel
I have to say that I'm impressed with the features available having logged on... Loads of info - excellent.
