How long do people think the N64 has left to live?
With games like Perfect Dark, Zelda: The Continuing Sage, Turok 3, A Resident Evil game, Top Gear Rally 2, and a bunch of other wicked games this year. How long will the N64 live for? Specially with the PS2 and Dolphin on the horizon how much longer can the N64 last?

These are really the best games in my opinion but you are still left with plenty of other good games. Such as
Body Harvest, Duke Nukem: Zero Hour, Extreme G, Fifa games (excluding 64), Gauntlet Legends, Goemen, International T&F,ISS (I think these are slightly worse than Fifa games), Lylat Wars,Mario Party, Micro Machines, Mission Impossible,NBA Courtside, Pilotwings (is popular but i don't like it much.)Pokemon Stadium (if you are quite young or into that kind of thing,Rainbow 6,Res evil,Turok:Rage wars,WAve Race,Worms,Wrestlemania 2000 (the only good 64 wrestling game I think). Yoshis story (is also very popular).
The N64 has some very good games and has had its fair share of dodgy games but on the whole the quality of games tends to be better on the N64.
P.S. Football games are far better on the N64, Fifas and ISSes are superior to most ps footy games which tend to have slightly dodgy graphics and bad gameplay (mainly because of the controllers). Wher as on the N64 they run fluidly and play well in the multiplayers (with the exception of Fifa 64 which ran sluggishly and you had to press the buttons a good half hour in advance to doing the kick).
Extreme G was given to me because the previous owner did not want it, but I have rencently found that blowing my mates away on bikes is fun, plus the single player is very good and can be quite challenging, there are loads of games that are remarkable, yet unless you play them you will never know!
Lylat wars, yes this is a great game, it was my first, but I never realised it's full potential. I thought I had completed it after 1 week, but I was mistaken, because when I swapped it for Goldeneye, he shwoed me after a month(roughly, this was a long time ago) that he had got all 30!! medas and had unlocked everything!!
I have not proved my point that there are lots of good games for the N64 out there, but if you played some of the classics, even Zelda and Goldeneye, then you would find out that there is alot of gameplay put into each cartridge.
You see, I have a couple of friends who own N64's, so I've come to know a little about them, and I've come to a conclusion I would like to share with you,
Goldeneye and probably Perfect Dark are fantastic games. I don't have a lot of experience beond the multiplayer, but I love it. But try to name any other true classics...
None of the sport ones. Apparantly Mario Golf is good, from word of mouth, but nothing much to offer the serious golf fans. As far as football ones go, well, put it this way. My friend has Fifa 99, alledgedly the best of the bunch. He also has an Amiga 500 emulator. He only ever plays International Sensible Soccer (usually as the Pharoe Isles).
So what else, beond the formerly mentioned 2 games, is classes as a really good games? I quized my friends. This is what they came up with;
Lylat wars is fun in multi-player
Shadowman is pretty good
Mario 64 and Zelda (okay, 4 classics then)
F1 w g p is "neat"
and there the list dried up. So I conclude that there are 4 great games, Goldeneye, PD, Mario and Zelda. Not a lot really.
And I don't expect to see many more produced. I believe that PD will be used to bleed all Nintendo can from the N64 before they stop trying, release a few half hearted efforts at games and let it all wind down before the Dolphin.
Afterthought - Before I come out of my defensive crouch in the corner, with my hands protesting my head, can I just say that I know PS has it's faults, and PS2 looks to go nowhere beond the PS, so I doubt I'll buy it (maybe a dreamcast), and I didn't want to just put down your console, but it's my opinion, and it didn't look tike anyone who shared it was going to say anything.
