Here a question.

How long do people think the N64 has left to live?

With games like Perfect Dark, Zelda: The Continuing Sage, Turok 3, A Resident Evil game, Top Gear Rally 2, and a bunch of other wicked games this year. How long will the N64 live for? Specially with the PS2 and Dolphin on the horizon how much longer can the N64 last?

Do you think the fact the NextGen Nintendo Console is no longer called the Dolphin is because dolphins can swim and I suspect the Next Nintendo will once again fail to stay afloat against the onslaught of Sony's PS2?

Unfortunately Sony have done it again by releasing inbetween the early & underpowered (& poor games) of Sega and the late but no doubt more powerful Nintendo entry (& with no doubt classic games that the PS2 won't have - Mario, Zelda).

It sounds strange to say out loud, but lets hope Micro$oft's X-Box shakes things up and doesn't fizzle like the Saturn, and even CD32 (remember kids?).

It will be interesting to see the machine that Nintendo deliver, lets hope they give the PS2 some decent competition!

Maybe nintendo as a whole are too big to roll over and die so easily, after all sega bounced back, but the N64 is as good as gone.
That is except, of course, for the grand finale, to final gasping breath, the darkness. Perfect Dark.
But, it'll take more than a couple of 'nice' games this late in the day. People ain't going to buy a system for Joanna Dark and a squirrel (is it a squirel?) called Conker. Not nearly enough anyway.

As for the Dolfeeeeen, as it is henceforth to be known, Nintendo have made the same mistake as with the N64, they've released when everyone already has a console of it's generation, and offering nothing new, they won't shift nearly enough machines to attract big 3rd party developers, and again they'll be left with a big turkey 3 months after christmas.
