Here a question.

How long do people think the N64 has left to live?

With games like Perfect Dark, Zelda: The Continuing Sage, Turok 3, A Resident Evil game, Top Gear Rally 2, and a bunch of other wicked games this year. How long will the N64 live for? Specially with the PS2 and Dolphin on the horizon how much longer can the N64 last?

The specs always show in Nintendo's favour, and more people now are deciding to turn to Nintendo's next creation, I had a talk with some of my mates that really went mad when I mentioned the name Nintendo, but now they think that the Dolphin will be very good, they now use the same drivers as the PS2 so games will flow out as quickly as the rest of the competition, unlike the PS and N64 which should improved Nintendo's chances, but if you check up on the X-Boxes specs you will be staggered, they are nearly double in every catagory even the modem is twice as fast, but then that really doesn't surprise me, the X-Box has 750mghz!!! compared to the Dolphins 400mghz and the crumy PS's 200mghz, which really is barely worth mentioning seeing as they should be a good competitor and therefore spend lots of money on their consoles, the prices vary a lot as well this should make the difference between the systems, the Dolphin is a mere £200 and the X-Box is £300, I wonder if the Dolphin will beat the X-Box and the Dolphin will be beaten once again by it's little twice removed cousin the PS2.

Really, what does the PS2 have to offer?? their games are crap, they have poor quality parts, the name is really as crap as the original, the specs don't prove anything, I mean they still can't even use 4 controller ports bvecause their games are so crap.....unlike the DREAMCAST and the Dolphin, I hope the X-Box does the same.

They keep on bringing out new games. Their biggest hit on the N64 has been Goldenye, which maintained its high price for quite a while. Just shows how good the game is. Now they are set to blow it away with Perfect Dark. Much higher AI and many more ways to play, especially in multiplayer, boasting better graphics and sound (I know it is hard to believe), it will definitely be the best game of the year.

Not only that, but they bring out so many games at a time. They brought out Jet Force Gemini and Donkey Kong 64 at the same time, and they are still both brilliant. Even before they have brought Perfect Dark, they are developing a new game called Dinosaur Planet. Even though they have produced some unpopular games for the N64, such as Killer Instinct Gold, they are definitely the best game makers ever. Conker's Bad Fur Day is so original i.e. he urinates as one of his attacks, it is likely to also be an awesome game because Rare have ventured into something new. I do not believe anyone can argue that Rare is the best games producers ever, and I am glad they are British!

I am definitely am going to buy this. As soon as I heard about it, I decided not to buy Goldeneye and wait for PD. Now that it is finally being released after much delaying, I am definitely going to buy it. I have even heard that you can control other players in the game, so that they back you up or scout ahead, as well as contolling your main character.

Talking about lost games, there are loads of games that Special Reserve, and many other shops, do not sell, which I really would like to buy, such as NHL Breakaway 98, NBA Courtside and/or Wayne Gretzky's 3D Hockey. I know these games are really old, but they are also quite good, and are some of the best games of their type.

Does anyone know where I could buy old, and consequently cheap games, or is there anyone who would sell these games?

I do not think Nintendo are dead. I am liking the N64 more and more. There are some really cheap games that are really good, on the market. Unfortunately, the ones I want, I cannot find at Special Reserve. I cannot find them in many places at all actually. But the N64 is getting really good and provides great entertainment, especially in the four player games.

But I do have my doubts about the Dolphin. I do not think this console will succeed. One reason is that it will be released quite a while of its competitors e.g. PS2. It is again, "slow to get on the bandwagon", like the N64. It therfore, may not be very advanced when it is released. Also, I have heard it does not play DVD movies, which I think is a great drawback, as the PS2 is made more of an entertainment system with its capabilities rather than just a games console. It is therefore more worth its price.

I would also like to know when ISS Millenium will be coming out, and why does there always have to be such big delays between the Playstation version and N64 version of any game. I also think ISS Evolution is a better name, but I am still eagerly awaiting the N64 version.
