Here a question.

How long do people think the N64 has left to live?

With games like Perfect Dark, Zelda: The Continuing Sage, Turok 3, A Resident Evil game, Top Gear Rally 2, and a bunch of other wicked games this year. How long will the N64 live for? Specially with the PS2 and Dolphin on the horizon how much longer can the N64 last?

Its worms and its on the N64. It costs around £15 at special reserve, like most 64 games and its worth buying-unlike most 64 games. Adapted from the original WORMS, Worms Armageddon offers a huge range of options and intelligent gameplay , that will keep you in front of your TV for weeks if not months.
You start by creating your own team of worms i.e. edit your worms names and choose your special weapon. From here you have several options:

Take your worms through an array of training routines
Go straight into Deathmatch mode, where you fight to become the ultimate worms controller
Take part in over 30 pre-arranged programmed missions, where the price for victory is entry to the next mission and boosts to your already acquired ammo
Battle your wits against your friends in a fascinating 4-player mode.
Each option is amazing and shows you that a lot of effort has gone into turning the original PC game into a mammoth console game. The "mission" option is probably the best feature of this game because it becomes very addictive as you know you have the ability to complete each mission but fail due to a simple error. For this reason, you choose to replay a mission in hope to be successful. Another reason why the mission option becomes so addictive is that you can't move onto the next mission until the current one is complete. Worms Armageddon varies from the original as it has much greater play ability, more weapons, more options and more colourful landscapes. It is more addictive and will prove to have a longer life cycle then its predecessors.
At first you may become frustrated with worms due to its poor options layout but given time and careful attention, you will be able to play it in your sleep! The graphics are neat and that's about as good as you can hope for when worms are involved. The sounds are o.k for the first 5 hours, but after this they can get annoying so turn the volume down.

If you want a strategy game that also throws in a bit of humor and violence then worms is definitely the game for you. If only other games on the 64 were as good as this

If there is one fault with this game then it has to the fact that it has taken so long for it to come out on the 64. The delay in converting it to this format means the novelty of blowing up other worms has worn of a bit as you are bound to have already played worms on the PC. In saying this, I think we should just be glad that it has been adapted for the 64, so if you have a spare £15 then pop along to your nearest retailer and pick up worms. If you don't have £15 to spare borrow it, it will be a worth while investment.

Playstation 2 won't have those awful Mario Brothers on it either, plus it's made by Sony, plus it hasn't got a silly name like "Gamecube". Nuff said.

In the beginning there was the NES, then the SNES, then the Game Boy, then the N64, then the Game Boy Color, and now...the Dolphin.

You'd think Nintendo customers were fed up of parting with their cash each time Nintendo decides to try to catch up with Sony, who, to date, have only launched the Playstation.

Sorry, my hand is staying firmly rooted to my analogue controller.

No, No, No, No, No, you're all talking cr@p, playstation 2 is faster than the Gamecube, it can also play DVD's - the Gaycube can't! Eat that one "Gilberto" if that is your real name!

Gamecube is only 200 mhz
Playstation 2 is 294.912 mhz

Gamecube is 3.2 Gb per second
So is Playstation 2

Gamecube can't play DVD's
Playstation 2 can

So there you go, decision made!

Out of his magic hat, Baz pulled this link:

"The only possible way I could recommend this game is if you're an avid Olympic hockey fan and really love the sort of action that Midway's action-hockey games provide. Otherwise, you should stay far away from this title."

Should anyone read this and care, I did come across a related website after a little searching.
Sadly it was in Dutch, I think (or should that be Double Dutch?), but there were a couple of screen shots, that showed to to be Ice Hockey (hurray!) with pretty nice graphics (from what I could tell) and under the Nagano Winter Olympics '98 license.
I don't plan on buying yet - I need English information! Buy if you too are a little too short (for cash, not height, obviously) to get a real game, it could be worth a spin. Tell me how you got on with it.
