How long do people think the N64 has left to live?
With games like Perfect Dark, Zelda: The Continuing Sage, Turok 3, A Resident Evil game, Top Gear Rally 2, and a bunch of other wicked games this year. How long will the N64 live for? Specially with the PS2 and Dolphin on the horizon how much longer can the N64 last?
Cooky
I'm not saying that I don't think the Gamecube should not be released, as I can't wait to get one, but until then (and after then) I will have my trust N64, SNES and Commodore 64 to play on and get as much entertainment from them as I always have done.
So if I buy memory I'll end up with far more than I need and it'll be a big waste of money cos I'll never use it all, but if I don't then I'll have no memory at all.
I couldn't just buy another game really, cos I already have Road Rash on the way (buy this now, a steal at £15) and a free game when I get the urge, plus nothing else that catches my eye is released yet.
So, I'm an ungreatful sod who's free stuff gets in the way of buying things and sets me off whinging.
But if I do buy the memory cards, it'll be a big waste of money right after, but if I don't buy them I can't save anything new.
This is happening faster and faster, the Atari 2600 was around for over a decade and a half, the nes for around 8 years (Famicom launched in Japan 1983) and the SNES lasted 6 and, as we know, the N64 is begining to fizzle out now after 4.
Basicaly people are finding new ways to double the power of a system faster so consoles come and go faster along with their games.
WHY DOES EVERYONE GO ON ABOUT CHIPPED GAMES!!!! SONY ALSO TAKE TIME WITH THEIR GAMES!!!!! (Take MGS and Gran Turismo 2 for instance)
