How long do people think the N64 has left to live?
With games like Perfect Dark, Zelda: The Continuing Sage, Turok 3, A Resident Evil game, Top Gear Rally 2, and a bunch of other wicked games this year. How long will the N64 live for? Specially with the PS2 and Dolphin on the horizon how much longer can the N64 last?
Cooky
GameCube >> X-Box >> PS2 >> Dreamcast >> Playstation >> N64 >> Saturn (All Next-gen consoles covered there i think) The GameCube in my opinon comes tops because altho X-box has faster cpu i think Nintendo will have more support, and Sony fans quit sticking up for the PS2, the Cube/X-Box will be better by default as they were released later, and of course as Sony are finalising release of the PS2 they are working on the PS3, details released in about 2 years time and the cycle continues. Sega aren't dead yet because of the flop that was Saturn (expensive games that were bettered by Sony etc) the DreamCast was purely released to bring Sega some money in i think Sega lost about £100 million on the Saturn? watch for Sega's next console. As for advertising, that is nothing Sony have money to burn - from their other subsidary companies as to microsoft ($100 billion in bank account) Nintendo rely on their games quality not adverts so much who cares if the Sony advert is cool? you'd rather play the game would you not? and Nintendo do advertise when they NEED to - when it is neccesary, Sony wil advertise left right and centre - tehy can afford to - CD's, HiFi's, TV's, all the other industries they are in, what it comes down to is expertise - Sega and Nintendo have this, and right from the word go Nintendo have won out, Microsoft is very stiff opposition, and Sony have showed how they can perform, i'll leave you gentlemen to make up your minds.
