Here a question.

How long do people think the N64 has left to live?

With games like Perfect Dark, Zelda: The Continuing Sage, Turok 3, A Resident Evil game, Top Gear Rally 2, and a bunch of other wicked games this year. How long will the N64 live for? Specially with the PS2 and Dolphin on the horizon how much longer can the N64 last?

Just to correct Brass Head from one of the first messages in this topic:

The Gamecube has a faster processor than the Playstation 2!

And you said PS2 is better because it can play DVDs well Panasonic (Nintendo's partners) are planning their own version of the Gamecube (Licensed by Nintendo) which CAN play DVDs and it wont cost as much as the Playstation 2!

The battle mode's boring! The courses are too small and there aren't many of them.

Who says there is suh thing as a good racer? The only reason Mario Kart is cool is because of battle mode.

Not that good. Mario Kart was fun with friends. But the rest...

I said i don't mind them releasing these great extras, I meant I am not sure why PS and other consoles have released them, and Nintendo has. Is it because they need more money, or just because they are great-Personaly, I think the latter, as N are far bigger and better, and more inovative.

These are also great racing games on the N64!

THe GB CAmera and Printer was released before the N64 so what do you mean???

THe N64 is going to slow down a bit now anyway because of the GBA and GC!

Nintendo don't have to resort to extras to sell their machines! They have always sold extras with consoles for our benefit! What about the Expansion PAk? DO you think that was just to sell more N64s? I don't! IT was so we could play better quality games!

Nintendo have released all manner of gadgets to try and sell more games. Transfer Pak, GB printer and camera, to name a few. Although these are great fun, I think that it is a bit obvious that the big N is trying to find new ideas to keep the N64 afloat. Although it is a great console, with hundereds of games, (and the greatest ever made) it has not sold as much as PSX, or even GBC (Pokemon). I love N64's and I do like other consoles as well, but i wish Nintendo didn't have to resort to extras to sell their machines - The gadgets are great fun though.

Anyone, read N64 magazine it had a review of Rush 2049 and it looked great! Another good racer.
