Firstly games last much longer on the PC due to addons and mods, on the PS2 once you have finished the game its all over. "What about multiplayer" i hear you cry well the PC may not support too many multiplayer games for a stand alone PC but the online world of the PC just doesnt comapare to any console.
Also on a PC you can get 100's of games free of the net that keep you occupied whereas on the playstation nothing comes free.
"But it costs much more than a console." A personal computer can cost upto 4 times more than a PS2 but how long will the PS2 last before they stop making games for it? A PC can be upgraded continously and last much longer than a console.
Last and probably least is that you can do loads of other stuff with a PC; for a start post msgs on forums, email, wordprocessing, so on so forth.
PC's are the best. Full Stop.
The PS2 gamepad might be pretty good but the loads more gamepads can be found for the PC and im sure there are some that resemble the ps2 gamepad. The PC has loads more peripherals for it; how can u play a fps without a mouse? Not very well, it must be a nuisance with strategy games as well.
The PS2 may be faster at the moment but without 2 GHz coming out now it wont last long especially with the latest graphics cards.
Even if the ps2 gains internet capabilities it will never compare to counter-strike or everquest.
Better games on the ps2? I dont think so, only a few games stand out on the ps2 whereas many more stand out on the PC.
How can playing on a ps2 be more rewarding than playing on a PC?
The only downfalls on the PC are installations and errors, though i think these cons are outweighed by the pros of longer lasting games and online capabilities.
Another point is that console games cant be patched after release, if there are bugs then tough s**t, but on a PC bugs and errors can be resolved with patches.
