Now, I was a little annoyed with SR getting rid of the gaming threads.

So please share your Championship Manger experiences in here.

Currently i am Sheffield Wednesday in the year 2030. This is the furthest I have ever got in any champ man game! THe other ones used to stop after 2026. Anyone know when it does end? If ever?

Anyways, whats the most you have sold someone for? Mine is £88M. Well chuffed with that sale. It was one of my home grown players as well. Came through the reserves and was a great hit.

Ahh, had some free time today so after watching the last farscape I decided to play some CM
for the most part I haven't made many transfers and my squad seems to be getting a little smaller.
My Ronaldo gamble has paid off, he almost scored as many as henry last season.
My board disliked Pires and so after a naff season from him I sold him and bought Arjen Roben who hasn't quite got to his full potential yet.
Bergkamp is getting older and has hardly played this season like keown and I figure they might retire at the end of the season, so I bought Landon Donovan who is scoreing highly in internationals and doing a good job filling in where Bergkamp would play.

Believe it or not their fitness will actually improve to a certain extent when you get a few games in, in the beginning they may not be match fit. This is why I use friendly’s (invite bigish clubs to your stadium as you get more money from ticket sales) and it gets your team a little fitter to. In CMAN 4 you have the option to do “training match” which will almost make friendly’s obsolete.

Also if you manage to put forward a fully fit team for every game in the 3rd division then I will be highly impressed, the players have weaker stamina in the 3rd and therefore wont recover as quickly, anything above 90% is ok to start a match in my opinion. Another also here, don’t train your players quite as intensively (well I train them the same as I train any team) but it causes more injures. If you have a small team with injury problems your probably training them to hard.

When shopping for players for 3rd division teams I tend to go for good “teamwork” and “work rate”, I mean it’s a bonus if your strikers can shoot and defenders can tackle but I like players that work hard and as one unit for the full 90 mins.

Any other questions?

and I ain't played a game for a month? AND I

If my team is tired at the start of the season
then I am in deep, deep ****.
