Now, I was a little annoyed with SR getting rid of the gaming threads.

So please share your Championship Manger experiences in here.

Currently i am Sheffield Wednesday in the year 2030. This is the furthest I have ever got in any champ man game! THe other ones used to stop after 2026. Anyone know when it does end? If ever?

Anyways, whats the most you have sold someone for? Mine is £88M. Well chuffed with that sale. It was one of my home grown players as well. Came through the reserves and was a great hit.

After 13 games of my first season in charge, Huddersfield are in a respectable 13th place, and as I was expected to battle bravely against relegation, I'm not doing badly.

My only problem is that I signed a bunch of players that are lacking match practice, so are also lacking in stamina a bit, and underperform in the second half, but they're getting better.

My squad right now is the highest rated in the world in my game.

I'm still manager of Real Madrid.

Iker Casilas
Cafu
Roberto Carlos
Hierro
Thuram
Emerson
Pires
Rivaldo
Raul
Morientes
Vieri

That is my best team when I have no injuries, suspensions or anything like that.

I play 2-3-2-3, which is a customized formation.

Hierro and Thuram in the centre at the back.
Carlos and Cafu on left and right wing backs but just a bit ahead of defenders and Emerson in the middle of those 2.
Rivaldo and Pires on each side of midfeild but both with attacking lines.
Raul, Morientes and Vieri up front.

That isn't a good formation really, but it works for me.

Set your scouts to watch Sweden, and you should get a few nice little players, for a nice little price.

As for the formation, Im not sure. Try getting a striker with good heading and stick him up front in the centre, sometimes works for me.

How many leagues does everyone here have running at the same time?

I usually choose the Spanish, English and Italian, anymore and it seems to take ages to run the game.

and is it RAM that effects the speed of the game? I have 256mb but Id never be able to select more than 5 leagues without the game becoming unbearably slow.

If you can get a couple of decent wingers and a good attacking midfield go for

3-4-1-2, you'll let in a few but score a ton!

It may be your strikers are squandering chances or you are not creating enough chances. Check how many shots you have in each game.

This thread needs some attention.

2 and a half seasons at Man Utd was enough for me. I won the league once, and reached the Champions League quarter finals, but just couldn't score goals.

I resigned, they hired Steve bruce, who sold Ryan Giggs! Anyway, as he'd vacated the Huddersfield job, who have just been promoted into the Premiership, I applied and got that job.

They had hardly any players, so I had to go into the transfer market with 10million, and try to rebuild the team. I've had a nightmare start to the season, playing Man Utd, Aston Villa, Arsenal, Leeds and Chelsea, and have yet to win a game, though I have managed to pick up 4 points from a few draws.

My problem seems to be scoring goals though. Any advice on formations or passing types and the like?

There is an interesting article of www.sigames.com.

What they did was swap Rangers and Celtic with Derby and Leicester. They did a whole season. It's good how it worked out.

I'm using a 400 with 32 or 64 meg ram. I can run 6 leagues comfortably. I do have an 800 that can run all of them. I haven't encountered any slowdown.

Heh, you got a fast PC to be able to run that many teams? Does it suffer from any slowdown?
