Currently i am Sheffield Wednesday in the year 2030. This is the furthest I have ever got in any champ man game! THe other ones used to stop after 2026. Anyone know when it does end? If ever?
Anyways, whats the most you have sold someone for? Mine is £88M. Well chuffed with that sale. It was one of my home grown players as well. Came through the reserves and was a great hit.
This game can be wonderful fun but can also be extremely infuriating. I was winning game after game with Liverpool first season and Man Utd kept following me. I ended up winning nothing.
I think you'll have to do another Champ Manager thread Ortega, when the next one comes out.
Sports Interactive, developer of the best-selling Championship Manager football management games, and Eidos, publisher of the series, have agreed a deal with Future Publishing to launch the Official Championship Manager Magazine. Issue one, priced £5.49 will launch on October 24th 2002.
The Official Championship Manager Magazine, project edited by Mark Sutherns, will provide the most comprehensive guide to the series yet. Written by a squad of journalists with unprecedented access to the development team, the magazine will be the first for news and information on CM4, the latest in the hugely successful Championship Manager series. A cover-mounted CD will offer fans of the game a selection of additional treats, details of which will be revealed shortly.
The Official Championship Manager Magazine will appear at key stages throughout the game’s development lifecycle, and will detail the development of the game through until release and beyond. All CD data and screenshots featured within the magazine will also be available for direct download from www.sigames.com on the day the magazine is released.
“With over three million copies in its illustrious 10-year history, Championship Manager is probably the only game with a following which can support such an ambitious publication,” says Miles Jacobson, managing director, Sports Interactive. “We’ll be working closely with Future Publishing to give our fans a superb collection of official magazines – with stacks of additional data available only through the magazine and on www.sigames.com.”
“This is a unique agreement for Future Games,” adds publisher James Binns, “We have had a lot of success with our licensed titles, based around hardware platforms and operating systems – we’ve never backed a series of games like this before. Championship Manager is a software phenomenon. We’re investing heavily in the magazine and look forward to producing a quality publication treated with the love and respect its fans demand.”
The Official Championship Manager Magazine will be available from all good newsagents on October 24th, priced £5.49.
Sounds like a good idea to me.
Sod knows whats happened to them. They are still "rich" so it should be easy to bring them back up.
