Now, I was a little annoyed with SR getting rid of the gaming threads.

So please share your Championship Manger experiences in here.

Currently i am Sheffield Wednesday in the year 2030. This is the furthest I have ever got in any champ man game! THe other ones used to stop after 2026. Anyone know when it does end? If ever?

Anyways, whats the most you have sold someone for? Mine is £88M. Well chuffed with that sale. It was one of my home grown players as well. Came through the reserves and was a great hit.

In answer to your first question, frankie1, to get approached by teams I believe you have to have a brilliant reputation and have been managing for several seasons.

Second it depends on the speed of your computer and whether you only want to sign famous players. If you have a slow computer, choose as few leagues as poss. If, however, you do that, only the most famous players appear in foriegn leagues, so put on a few background leagues. That's my advice!

Hi can anyone tell me why on championship manager season 01/02, when you are doing well, you do not get approached by teams who are looking for a new manager?

Also what is the best way to play season 01/02? Is it best to select all at the beginning, or to just to select the league you are going to play ?

Look for players in lower division teams and on free transfer for great deals! I Once got Davor Suker and a brilliant keeper called Ramón on a free, and another time as a 2nd division team, I signed a player called Steve Edwards from a team like Hartlepool for £1k, and he scored a hat-trick on his debut!

As Arsenal I once sold Patrick Vieira for over £50 million.

That's a spicy meat-a-ball!

PS I used the money to sign Edgar Davids and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

The CM series is a set of games that can can be played for hours on end and is great for filling the gap between the boredom of Secondary School and my futile attempt at homework.

Who wants the game on X-box. Not only is the console itself large, ugly and faulty and the games way over-priced, but you would be supporting the the evil of Microsoft and its chief, the despicable Bill Gates. And you wouldn't want to do that.

Would you???
