Well, here we go, I'll try to get this topic back on course... Here are some lyrics... Hopefully FilmBuff can give me some tips on how to improve them to his level of greatness.

;-)

I can't believe,
What I've become,
Where has the meaning of, my crazy life gone?

I can't believe,
What I've become,
Were my ideals set, too high to live on?

Looking back to the past,
I see what was wrong,
But the pain of my mistakes, still lingers on,
And lingers long.

Looking back to the past,
I see I was wrong,
But their hate of me still lingers on,
And lingers long.

Will we ever learn? (Will I ever learn?)
Will we ever change? (Will I ever change?)
Is young innocence forever destined,
To become hardened cynicism?

I can't believe,
What has become,
Of this once hopeful race,
Now destined,
For EXTINCTION!

Wohoo! I found out I won a GAD for the 'Warring Factions' topic. Though I feel I don't really deserve it what with the guru of all writings, FilmBuff, here humbling us all with his mere presence. I wish I could write stuff as meaningfully as he can. But I don't think I will ever be able to attain such greatness with my brain so comparitively tiny to his.

I guess I'll just have to stick to my lowly GADs while he writes insightful details on the philosophical ramifications of worldwide events, and the incredible things he experiences on a daily basis.

hmm, and here was me thinking the word 'not' didn't have an 'e' in it. How wrong I was!

Thank you oh masterful one for pointing out the errors of my ways.

seing as this is such a day for compliments, i feel i must also complitment you on leaving the 'e' of the 'not' every time, very clever, art in its purist form. although the sentances dont make any sense you are still a great, unique person.

Wow. Cheers. I was actually going to give up writing, but you have given me the strength to go on. I know I must be really special to come up with these ideas, that I'm sure no one else has thought about, but then again, as you put it, I have a gift.

But don't despair, I'm not the only one with a gift. You have one too my friend. You have the gift of being an incredible writer, and an even better speller. Leaving the 't' off of 'gift' twice was pure genius. A work of art is how I would describe it. Nothing less than art in its' purest form...

Where do you get these ideas? they are genius, you touch on areas which have not even been conciously thought of, you have a gift, you have a wonderous insight into the Human condition. conragtulations, that was more insightful then Kurosawa's Ikiru, or Rashomon, way more insightful. you have a real gif. a gif is what you have.

It was basically just about problems, and how you choose to solve them, and deal with them. The first bit was just about how everyone has different experiences, but even though that is true, it doesn't mean any advice someone gives you is useless because they haven't been in your position.

It ended on the drugs note, but that wasn't the only thing in it. Really, I'm not going to try and tell people whether drugs are right and wrong, that is an individual decision, but they are not a solution. They won't solve a problem, it'll still be there when you come down or sober up or whatever, just like they were.

It's all about problems and drugs used to solve that, right?

Drugs used for fun by teenagers etc I think is not right. I can understand why people would want to use drugs in troubled times, accidents by it are in large number sadly. Nice words.
