Hi, i need help on this topic. At the moment i have a 56k modem which gets very annoying. And the pings i have on some online games are terrible.
So i am considering getting a faster connection. So far i have seen The blue yonder cable one, which is avaliable in my area. And a few Adsl providers, but they seem to be more expensive. Can you suggest any good ones to me, because i dont know much on this subject, and wouldn't want to get one that was always slow, and had technical difficulties.
So which are my best options ?
Thanks , Dave

ISDN is the digital line. It has 2 connections of 64K. So you can have 2 computers on the net or 1 on the net and the phone line free. ADSL is the same as Cable, they both offer 512K. I wish I lived in an area where cable was available :(.

From what i've heard Cable-Internet is the answer!
Either that or a Broadband connection.
People have also said that Blue Yonder is good.

I have a cable connection with Blue Yonder

But like all good things, you quickly get used to it

But man, the first day or so was amazing! Everything was so fast!

is ASDL 128k of 112k?? Broadband's 512k though, £26 a month, £50 installation, £26 for a Network card (unless you already have one or buy your own)

I'd still really advise waiting a while.

Also, Pipex offer the cheapest ADSL at around £30 a month IIRC, with no installation fee.

Wait a few days, rumour is there'll be a big announcement in a few days time. Something about halfing the price of ADSL..
