Anyway I just felt I had to say that. I think that Pokemon Stadium is really designed for people with Pokemon which is slightly unfair but does encourage many N64 owners to buy Pokemon and possibly a gameboy.
isn't that in the fishing pond??
do you know where the sinking lure is, I can't find it anywhere! and rocks surprisingly don't fit on the end of my line.
can you tell me where to find it?
After about 3 weeks i began to get bored with it and went back to playing Goldeneye and Zelda (Today i caught the Hylian Loach!)
My point is this game although revolutionary in respect to the transfer pack is simply packed with battle after battle soon i found myself mostly in the Kids club mini games I enjoyed beating the Gym leader castle untill i had earned every prize it had to offer and when i spent a long time in the prime cup only to get knocked out by the last trainer i finaly got bored with the game even though i still had not unlocked Round two and i did not plan on spending any more time on it it seemed more like a task that had to be done rather than a fun game.
This game is realy only ment for those owning a GB version of Pokemon the GB tower mode would be usefull.
But for those without the Gb game pack the prizes are meaning less a level 20 Charmander is useless with out a way to train it.
For those with the Gb pack this is an essential buy it means you can catch every Pokemon with out buying the same game again but with a different colour box and many will find the endless battles fun and a test to their pokemon but the pokemon to rent are not very good and it will take hours of practise and decision making to finaly select the right team for the job.
Although its a usefull expansion to the GB game no GB owners should steer clear it may seem fun but not £50 worth of fun- buy it on budget in a years time.
Just to let you know that if you have enjoyed the previous three (red, blue and yellow), I recommend that you buy it. The evolution of some of the characters from the TV series is, at times, strange (Togepi for certain and Snubble from the film just turns out rather scary) but with 251 characters to catch, it is somewhat tricky. For example, breeding Electobuzz to get an Elekid (forgive my spelling atm as I can't find the exact spelling of the names at this period in time) can be fun as they're not that easy to capture and finding a male and a female rather tricky.
The map tends to come into play a lot more as some of the pokemon have horrible tendencies to run away and move around the entire area...plus if you kill them off, you miss out on capturing them (look out for three dogs that vanish...they're the ones).
Also, it's rather fun looking in your newly arranged napsack for pokeballs and also heart breaking when you realise that you've used the one and only Master ball...erk!
Anyway, I'm predicting that it won't take off here as well as the first one did or as well as the game did in Japan but if the idea of pocket money toys is kept to, I believe that pokemon has a great future ahead of it. Of course I could be wrong in the fact that it's just another craze but hey, something tells me this is different...
Be good,
Jynxie...naughty but nice...
For some people games mean nothing but for others like myself i get a real kick a real sense of acomplishment from saving the world even thouh i know it did not realy happen tey are purely entertainment but wow! they are interactive its up ti you to decide the outcome unlike a film where its out of your hands.
Perfect Dark is going to be great i loved Goldeneye i still play it even though i have finished every aspect of it (cheats and all) perfect dark will be goldeneye again which is great even if you had no new guns or anything new infact it would still be great just like as if it was part of the original game which is utter briliance
