I have just picked up a GameCube with Logic 3 Memory card and Star Wars Rouge Squadron! The controls are quite easy to get used to although swapping between my Xbox and GameCube is going to be hard after playing a long time on each. Star Wars is very good so far although the Training mission is a bit poor! I have done the first two parts of mission 1 where you have destroy the towers and kill the ships but the 3rd part is VERY difficult! I keep blowing up when the 3 enemy ships turn up behind you, any ideas on how to lose them? I am going to find information about connecting it to my 5.1 AMP but for now its back to Star Wars!

CUBE magazine say it took them 30 hours. Last time I ever buy that magazine.

I think the Xbox, GameCube and PC versions of Jedi Knight 2 were more or less the same?! I would get it for my Xbox because of the 5.1 and preference to FPS games using the Xbox controller (although the game also contains 3rd person I believe). Mav, I have read some reviews of Doshin and I think I will give it a miss. Maybe a rental but as a purchase there are a LOT of games I want for both my Xbox and GameCube this year so I have to be ruthless :)

I know what you mean. I was stumped when I had to blow out torches to open a door for the fifth time in a row. I had no idea what to do! So very very taxing.
And don't forget the combat. It was ever so hard to defeat all those enemies! I had to use all of the respawning health that was littered all over the place.

Maybe he found it hard shooting the symbols on the walls, god knows it was pretty difficult.

Some of the puzzels where so hard as well, like the ones where you had to throw a barrel to break down a door. My god the brainpower needed for that task, it seemed every corner I turned I was confronted with exactly the same tasks to do, over and over and over again.

What a game, not the slightest bit of repetition or boredom at all.

Look, he may be an XBoxer but no one could be so bad it took them 25 hours to complete SFA

Personally, I've never played it but from reviews it seems a quirky and original God game that's let down by annoying villager AI and little replay value. But you'd do best reading some reviews on this site, as you'll get the widest range of opinions.

Rent Starfox Adventures and see if you can complete it. It'll take you about 15 - 25 hours. As for Jedi Knight 2, I don't think there's any difference bar your preference of controller. Either way, it's a fun game with an authentic Star Wars feel.

ALASTAIR, if you have a decent PC, I would reccomend you get Jedi Knight II for that, as it is far superior to all the console versions. And if you don't have a decent PC, why not?

In one cube mag, someone sent a letter in about MGS on the cube, and they said one was planned for it... soo it that Substance or MGS1??
