The "Freeola Customer Forum" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
To play the game forum members take it in turn to list 10 random facts about themselves, some must be true others total fabrications. Once a list as been submitted other members simply submit which they believe to be true and which they think are false. Whoever guesses the most correctly gets to go next, lists are only valid for 24 hours from posting. The 24 hour rule is automatically overruled if the poster spots an entry in which someone has guessed all 10 ‘facts’ correctly.
The (very loose) rules are:
Facts must be things fairly unusual not ‘I usually take the bus to work’ kind of thing. But not ridiculous either, none of this ‘I went to the moon and it was made of cheese’ stuff.
Each member can only submit 1 list but they can still continue to guess other peoples lists and I will attempt to keep some kind of championship board.
Each member can only guess once for each list and answers must be submitted under a ‘spoiler’ tag.
There must be a mix of true and false ‘facts’ (no all true or all false).
If 2 or more people get the same amount correct, whoever posted first gets to go next.
Think that’s about it really.
Right, think that’s pretty straightforward. Hope this gets more entries than this years MotoGP fantasy league!
******RULES UPDATE******
Whoever is heading the leaderboard on 1/03/02 can now claim the award kindly given by Freeola for this thread. In the event of a tie I will post a final 10 'facts' to decide to winner on this date, if its me in the final 2 then I will ask another forum member (who doesn't know either of us in person) to do this. As with yesterday when we had the same number of people getting the number of guesses correct each get a championship point. Hope this gets some activity going over the next 14 days as anyone has a genuine chance to win.
Best of luck everyone.

Is there anyone around that could possibly submit a list for us?
Statistics and logic would suggest that the 'title' is with Butch ... and a well deserved win at that. (Three lists for example ... one win for Butch would seal it) :¬)
Indeed. Happy to see him win, as I've said previously.
Fantastic result Butch, well done mate and thanks very much for that excellent list Chas. I will update the leaderboard now.
It's not completely over though, if there are a few lists put up between now and Thursday the mighty Butch could still be beaten.
Anyone around this weekend that could help us out, Nin or Dean perhaps?
1 One of my cats is named after a mouse from a Stephen King novel.
True. We got him at christmas and he was tiny, so we named him Mr Jingles- like the mouse in the Green Mile. A year later, and he's HUGE! I now have a black panther named Mr Jingles!
2 I saw Queen play live twice.
False, much to my regret I never saw them live..
3 I once asked Steve Davis, world famous snooker player, if he liked strategy games.
True. I managed a store for a certain famous wargaming chain and Mr Davis paid us a visit. He asked if I thought he'd enjoy the game, so I responded "That depends. Is it true that you like strategy games?"
He seemed to find this highly amusing, and spent a large sum as a result.
4 I had to build a wall unit in my house to keep over 300 DVD's and films in.
True. What's more, I need to build another now..
5 I once owned a pet tarantula named Iggy.
False. Both myself and my wife are arachnophobic, so the only interaction we have with spiders is deciding whose turn it is to throw the shoe.
6 I once bought a car from a scrapyard for £100 and then found out it was worth nearly £3000.
True. It was an Escort Mk1 Sport; Weber twin carb 1300GT engine with oversized bores, high lift cam and a branched manifold, lowered suspension and fat wheels. number 27 off the production line, it was as rare as hen's teeth. Top speed of just shy of 180Mph, went like a rocket- it left Ford Cosworths standing.
I loved that car, and it got stolen...
7 I have six computers in my house.
False. I actually have four- still excessive considering there's only three people living in our house. I also have enough parts to build half a dozen more...
8 My latest novel is an H.P. Lovecraft style 1930's thriller.
True. It's called "The Journal of Elliot Wallis" and I've been working on it for a year. It's my third novel, the first of which was a science fiction tale called "Mother God; Evolution War", published by Amazon on Kindle.
9 I once played 24 hours straight on an NES game.
True. Swords and Serpants. Myself AND my wife sat up all night playing it, 'cos it was AWESOME!!
10 I have never been abroad.
False. I have been to Holland and France. Not far, I know, but nonetheless...
Looks like Butch is the winner here...

Pretty sure I chose facts he wouldn't have known for certain, so he's clearly psychic or something!
