> You seem pretty knowledgeable Tyla, what do you do for a job? And what programs other than Flash and Photoshop do you use?
Current job titile: HTML and Graphic Designer (Laymans terms: website designer)
Previous Job: Graphic Designer
Flash, Photoshop, Fireworks, Quark, Maya, Blender, 3D Studio Max, Dreamweaver, Notepad, Painter, Atmosphere, InDesign, Premier...
Anything else?
> A reasonably easy way is to use Adobe Photoshop. Use the magic wand tool and set the tolerance to 10 or so. It should then be easy to 'select inverse' and erase the background. :)
With the complexity of the image he us descibing, he'd probablly be better off using the magnetic lasso tool... another way would be to duplicate and convert the image to grey scale, using the image>adjust>levels turn the image into a two colour black and white image, capture the squirrel out of this image by using the lasso and converting the selection to a path, then copying the path onto the original image and using the selection to remove the background with a feather of 1 pixel.
If the resolution of the image is below 150dpi, I wouldn't even bother trying IMHO...
I yet again have a problem, this time with Adobe :D
i've been looking all over, I must be looking for the wrong thing.
not sure if Adobe can do this, but it's worth asking.
ok, I have a image of a squirrel, it has a really bushy tail and some annoying scenery behind it, i'm trying to take the squirrel out of the background so I can put it in any other image that I like, e.g. New York or on a skateboard, with the square background that would look silly.
ok, so my problem: how do i cut the squirrel out of the image without taking all day deleting the background pixel by pixel with the rubber? is there some way i can marquee the image, do press some options and hey presto the squirrel is free? if not, can you recommend a program hat does :) thankyou.

I can see what your trying to achieve now, but the way it's explained to you is a little foggy/breif. If I get time today, I'll translate it into somple easy to follow english...
Your completly correct, thing is, when it's right
infront of me (on the screen) telling me pretty much step by step what do to, surely any idiot can do it? but obviously not, either that or I have supirior
intelligence which sees past this 'very' simple tutorial.
