I don't believe in the Big Bang, it is impossible. Nor do I believe in the steady state theory. I belive in God. If you want to you can laugh.
Feel free to argue, I will post my full analysis later.
Just don't reduce yourselves to swearing chimps! :D
> The problem with God, is that it brings the question 'Why?'
If God made the
> world, and us peeps, why the heck did he do it?
I'm not entirely sure, but I think it's just that he wanted to. {:)
No, really though, I think that's the reason. I don't see why he shouldn't of done it.
Religion, be it Christianity, or Buddhism or Sikhism (sp?) or whatever, were "created" to help explain stuff that was previously unexplainable.
Where did the earth come from?
Why are we here?
Etc.
These are all questions that have baffled people ever since there were people to baffle. People couldn't understand it, so they "invented" religion to explain it all.
They believed in something, and that helped them to cope with the questions that they couldn't answer before.
Now, however, science has come on a long way, and that is now starting to explain to us where we came from etc, so religion is needed less and less.
Some people still follow religion, and that's fine with me. But I personally find it easier to believe in the scientific reasoning as opposed to the religious reasoning.
If God made the world, and us peeps, why the heck did he do it?
On the other hand, if a bunch of chemical reactions caused this planet to exist, and life to grow on it, then there is no why, we just exist.
I feel that there is no 'why?' I'm just here to have some fun, and if at the end of my days I find myself on a fluffy clound with Mr God, he can tell me exactly what his big idea was, and when he stopped putting in the effort.
, as did everyone except Goatboy. If anyone is a

You tool.
How am I a fundamentalist by never ever making claims based on religious belief and dismissing all other versions as "impossible"
Explain that.
I answered a post that claimed scientific theory as "impossible" yet placed stock in the belief of an otherworldy being with the power to create life.
Take a step back and realise how utterly preposterous that sounds.
> I am imposing nothing on anybody. I am putting the facts across.
What facts are these exactly?
From which website? Because I can provide you with 9 websites that can prove we are being controlled by a cabal of reptilian overlords intent on dominating this planet and turning it into a prison colony.
And if you think I'm joking, go read David Icke.
>I just said that the Big Bang cannot of happened.
This is what made me laugh at you.
How can you say this? You simply do not know for a fact.
You cannot say "it cannot have happened" because nobody knows yet.
Sorry to be blunt. Open your mind. Leave other people with their beliefs,
> and keep your own. Share your own. Just don't diss what others think because it
> conflicts with your ideas.
I don't.
I do object when an ill-informed fundamentalist comes out and says, and I quote:
"I don't believe in the Big Bang, it is impossible. "
It is NOT impossible, nothing is impossible.
Do I say "God is impossible, a belief in an all guiding force is naieve at best, blinkered and cowardly at worst"?
No, I talk about movies and music and things I know about.
You know nothing about the big bang theory and have offered zero evidence of your statement that it is "impossible" except for a website given to you by a mate.
Big deal.
You were the one that came here and espoused fundamentalist claims that the big bang was "impossible".
Your task it to read "A brief history of time" by Professor Stephen Hawking and then I'll listen to your inane ramblings, based on no evidence but a blind insistence that because we don't understand something, it must be down to some deity.
That's your belief, and I respect that.
But DO NOT tell others that it's "impossible", because that's just the same as me typing a post that says
"God is a non-existent system of rules and beliefs designed to keep people in some form of legitamised slavery to an arcane master through the form of tithes and levys."
Take you beliefs and do what you will, but do not dare to presume that you are correct.
And certainly do not say "It is impossible", for the simple reason that you have no proof either way.
Just as I have no proof either way of the existence of god.
Therefore, I keep my mouth shut on the subject.
If you're going to offer opinion, at least back it up with reasons and explanations instead of a minute post stating "it is impossible"
Good day to you.
Maybe God is playing a little videogame that we're all part of! Isn't AI great in God's world!!!
