Darwock, you are such a loser...I think you are the here, as you will see for certain in point 5.

1) That statement makes you scum of the earth in my book, since you obviously condone and are defending the use of pirate copies.

Why? I said "ones I know of" which doesn't imply that I own any, or condone them. Did I explicitly say that I use copies and defend piracy? You wanna' get picky in interpretation, go ahead!

2) You don't need a chip.

Read what I wrote...."You need a chip to play BOTH". i.e. to play both copied games and pirate games you need a chip.

3) No, I don't agree with playing copied games full stop. I'm talking about imports vs PAL games.

So you haven't got any MP3 files of commercial music on your computer, or copies of CDs? You have never recorded something off radio and kept it for more than a few weeks? Have you recorded anything off TV and kept it? So you haven't got any copies of commercial DVDs/cinema releases? You've never copied ANYTHING at all, ever? Importing isn't strictly illegal, but it too hurts companies more than you might think.

4) You let a stranger drop hot solder onto your chip board instead. That's up to you, but I wouldn't do it.

No, actually! My cousin is MD of a PCB fabrication plant, where there are just a few competent micro-electricians, several of whom I know. Fitting the chip was a breeze for him, worked first time, with no trouble at all. I simply paid him for his time.

5)I don't need a chip to play imports. "YOU DO." What's your ing point?

I think you'll find I wrote, "I don't need a boot disk to "play my imports"; YOU DO.

Notice the words, "boot disk" in there, not "chip". My ing point is, with my professionally fitted chip, imports play direct boot. None of this boot up with a boot disk, swap out etc. that you lamers have to deal with. Read into that what you like.

So, you wanna try and topple me again? Come on, I'm waiting...

Chipped or disc? Either way has its advantages and disadvantages. Sorted.

Damn, I was doing a good job of avoiding this place too.

1) Pirate games (ones I know of) do not have anything ripped out. They are 1:1 copies of the original that boot direct with no lame boot disk needed. They are the SAME GAME.

That statement makes you scum of the earth in my book, since you obviously condone and are defending the use of pirate copies.

2) Playing imports, as far as SONY is concerned, is almost as bad as playing copies. You need a chip for both, and they don't like you fitting them. You are going against the rules by importing.

You don't need a chip.

3) Are you implying that copied imports run slow and not full screen? You have a lot to learn.

No, I don't agree with playing copied games full stop. I'm talking about imports vs PAL games.

4) I didn't open up my PS2; I paid a professional to fit the chip for me.

You let a stranger drop hot solder onto your chip board instead. That's up to you, but I wouldn't do it.

5) I don't need a boot disk to "play my imports"; YOU DO.

Well I don't buy pirate copies so how would I know? I'm just quoting what I've been told about how they get DVD games to fit onto CD-Rs, and that's by taking out movie clips and music.

F*&ing hell, you can't win in this place can you.
