SCEI said it sold a total of 8.5 million PlayStation 2 consoles during November and December, a jump of 24 percent on the previous year. Of those sales, 4 million were in the North American market, 3.4 million were in the European market and 940,000 units were in the Japanese market. End of year domestic sales were down 27 percent; however, those in North America and Europe were up 42 percent and 27 percent respectively.
Along with the console there are also more than 1,500 software titles available, production of which has passed 300 million units, said SCEI.

I dodut thats gogint to worry Bill that much especially as Xbox sales have gone up and up. When Xbox 2 comes out they should start to make a profit, and if not they will probably do it the Microsft way and kick nintendo and Sony out the maket until they make money.

So then it would take about 3 xboxs to do the same thing, and also:
*joins Sibs*

Given the dimensions of the PS2 (301mm x 178mm x 78mm):
50,000,000 PS2's would cover 1.03 square miles (2.67 sq. km.)
Their combined weight would be 38,600 tonnes.
Stretched end to end, they'd trail out for 9.35 miles, nearly twice the height of Mount Everest.
Spooky fact: My house is 9.35 miles away from the offices of Future Publishing, who create the Official PlayStation 2 Magazine.

Hey dude, I'm just passing on info from that Shikami bloke. Why would he say it if it wasn't true?

my cube fell off a high shelf, but hit a metal post when it landed. the edge broke a bit, but its hardly noticeable. Then JC had his cube broken, and it smashed the whole of the front panel in, making slot B unuseable. Oh well.
