Lately when i have been playing some of my new games on my pc, i have noticed that the graphics seem a bit smudged , and not very sharp. Also that with the more sophisticated games i have noticed more glitches and some places in a level , especially outside that the detail gets very messed up and sometimes there are bits of the backround missing.
So if i bought a graphics card for my computer would it help these problems and make the game look sharper etc ? Also if it is a graphics card i need is there any ones that you could recommend to me as a first time buyer?
Last thing is are they hard to fit , and is it best to let a special reserve technichan fit it for me.
Will be greatful for any advice on this topic, or some answers to my questions.
Dave :)

Hm, 800mhz cpu and no AGP slot? That's..odd..do you know the model/manufacturer?

Anyway, the V5 5500 is a good card, Ruari still raves about it. It's not as powerful as some of the other options (from what I've seen), but it does have superiour image quality, and should be able to handle today's games fine..It's also sub-£100, so a fairly good all round card, probably your best option if you don't have an AGP slot. Like Rob said, no Hardware T&L, but an 800mhz cpu should be able to cope.

This is the second hand one i found, would it be safe to buy it. Because someones selling it makes me think that something is wrong with it, is there any way of checking or getting a refund if it isn't upto standard ? This is the Url

Try Dabs.com. I'm looking there now but this connection is retarded.

Have found one , but its a refurbished one , and thats the only one i have found. Would it be better for me to get the Geforce 2 Mx200 one for £90 instead of the Voodoo 5 5500 ?
