xbox has a 755mhz prossesor
cube has a 500mhz
> prossesor
ps2 has a 250 mhz prossesor
Wrong.
Xbox = 733 mhz
GC = 485 mhz (but equalivant to a 800 mhz)
PS2 = 294 mhz
buying a ps2/cube over tha xbox is more rediculous than goin back to 1999 and buying a second hand playstation over the dreamcast
forget ps2 and cube there r history and will be dead in less than a year anyway so then u will regret wasteing your money on em,
do the sensable thing buy a xbox now.
oh and for anyone out there who wants to chanlenge any of that think about this
xbox has a 755mhz prossesor
cube has a 500mhz prossesor
ps2 has a 250 mhz prossesor
that means xbox is more powerfull than cube and ps2 combined and therfore in a years time they wont be able to cope with the games that the xbox handles with ease
At least when we spend the money on the X-Box, we get something that looks its price. I was really happy setting up my console last night, haven't felt so excited in doing that for ages.
I nearly kept my PS2 and toned down my X-Box order, but then I though of all the wires everywhere and also I started to think "will I even play my PS2 much once I've got the X-Box ?". I decided to trade in the PS2 and the last of my games and get an excellet X-Box set up. I have 5 games to play with another 1 or 2 to get on the 22nd.
I don't regret getting rid of the PS2. I'm actually happy I did cause it was great walking out the shop last night holding 2 bags that put Santa's sack to shame. ;-))
I got home and I was like a little kid at christmas, getting all the stuff out and setting it up. The Ninty's can keep the Cube, I'm in no rush to buy it when I have a console like the X-Box.
If people here want to play titles such as Halo and Jet Set Radio Future, then let them. Not only are you comments completely misinformed, but it doesn't seem like you've bothered to come to a fair conclusion at all.
This was the one thing that bothered me about the XBox pods. People were writing the console off on the basis of a 5 minute demo. Well, if that's the case, I should've written Silent Hill 2 off after playing that demo, which I'm glad I didn't.
Granted. The pad isn't very comfortable, which is why I've splashed out and bought the Japanese pad to add to my collection, which is very comfortable. But the Gamecube Control-Pad is far from perfect too. Try playing Capcom vs SNK 2 on it or any beat-em-up, then come back proclaiming it to be the "best-thing-ever!"
As for games, well as it stands, my Gamecube is currently gathering dust at the moment since the XBox has arrived. The only time I tend to stick it on is when I fancy a quick go of Super Monkey Ball. Other than that, there's nothing on there that will last any prolonged amount of time.
As for your last comment regarding the disc scratching in Japan, just goes to show how much research you've bothered to actually do.
I'm not a XBox zealot. I'm a fan of video-games, who is sick and tired of people coming to mis-informed opinions and making a habit of coming onto here to make it known.
*Rant Over*
The Xbox is the worst console I have ever played on. The controller is fat. The d-pad is chunky and you can't control it(you xbox fans will know what I mean 2moro). The console itself is massive and hardly a games console, more like a PC. Most of the games stutter and the local electronic boutique has switched the xbox off as nobody plays it anymore.
Fair do's, Halo is a great FPS game. I would buy it if it came to the cube, but obviously won't!
Gamecube has it's fair share of great quality console games. Yes, it has classics such as mario, luigi, zelda, DK etc. but this time round, it has lots of different ports. Final Fantasy will appear on the cube, GTA 3 might (like XBOX), and there are loads of other games too come.
Project Gotham is a good game with nice graphics but the controls are like a tank. You can't turn a corner without smashing into a wall. You are paying £300 for a piece of plastic with slow gameplay.
A lot of games has no point to them, 5 minutes into the game and your already bored!
Spend £164.99 and you can buy a GC with a number of great quality games and save yourself alot of money.
I have played the console and I just want to warn you!
Buy a cube
kind Regards
SINFIELD
p.s. This is what I honestly think about XBOX, I am not a gamecube fanatic, I just want to save you some cash, lol! u all know what happened in japan with the scrathing CD's! say no more.
people who wanna play 80% plus of cartoon kids games should get a GC (eg: 5 of the launch games r kids cartoony games)
people who wanna pay £38-40 4 a game get a GC
people who can't pay £300 4 the best console ever created (XBOX) get a GC
people who love the crappy Pokemon get a GC.
the GC's 80-90% cartoon games. Nintendo have no imigination. they just re-create old games. Mario! Mario! Mario! change the record jesus
the GC's a subsitute console 4 the people who can't get an XOBX. it's even cheaper than a PS2! it's at the bottom of the console chain
so all u people who own a PS2 who can't get an XBOX or u people waiting 4 a GC stop ur god damn moaning cause u can't afford! who can't put the XBOX down
