Acclaim have announced that they're porting Burnout to the Gamecube. Doesn't overly interest me, but I'm sure it will some people.

Secondly, there are strong rumours that GTA3 will be coming to the Gamecube. PlanetGamecube are carrying the story, and apparently got it from a reputable source. The GBA version of the game, however, is rumoured to have been canned.

GTA3 on Gamecube is an interesting concept, mostly because it's considered to be one of the best PS2 games. There have been rumours in the past that the franchise was going to become Sony exclusive, but it doesn't look to be so now.

Kojima has stated that he was considering handing over the directorship to another person for MGS3 and taking a more supervisory role, because he wants to move on. He has ONLY stated that he was considering it, and NOTHING (like your release date) is confirmed yet.

Square want to make up with Nintendo, Nintendo don't and doesn't sony have shares in the company?

Yes but Nintendo and Konami are old friends and MGS2 was according to sources Gamecube bound until Sony got hold of it and its still not impossible for MGS2 to appear on Gamecube but a bit later... MGS3 isn't being done by Kojimi is it :)

As for Shenmue, well, the department itsn't really commited to

SEGA: Shenmue will appear on more systems than the X-box.

Tee hee.

I'm optimistic that the resi film will bring back some of that "shine" to the series though.

I don't think Sony really knew about the deal until it was finallised. besides, Capcom aren't a "favoured" developer and the Resi series, although popular, was beginning to lose it's shine.

Yes, but who would have thought the Resi Evil series would have become a Nintendo Exclusive (for the time being anyway). It was a shocker to me anyway.

Burning the midnight bandwidth again Ortega?

Obviously, but Sony have more money than Nintendo and they also care less about making a profit.
