Well Well then it appears that Splinter Cell the so called Xbox exclusive was infact a multi platform game from the very beginning and infact the developers actually wanted to make sure they could achieve the same level of detail on the PS2 and GC games otherwise they would have never have started the project.

Infact the PS2 version has extras, that are geared more towards the PS2 user as they demand more and have higher skill level, not my words but the actual developers comments.

Then again I can imagine that it's a hard game for Xbox users because of their poorly designed controllers.

Just read the whole site and I feel I have nothing to add.

Except that Top Score has hit rock bottom and he's kept on digging....

Why was it unfinished? It was perfectly finished... Bill Gates who is trying to push X-box live asked that the extra features the X-box has should be downloaded via the online system to promote it. The Gamecube gets its link up with the GBA and a few extras and the PS2 gets its dumbed down graphics and a few extras... of course the PS2 and Gamecube owners have to wait 6 months.

Oh and now onto the ol' Gamecube argument... Nintendo made a mistake did they? Look at this:

Pros:
Gamecube is VERY VERY VERY hard to pirate... it has lasted this long and everyone has still failed... you can't get the right sized discs.

Because the Disc is so small Nintendo can reduce Loading times so much that they can be hidden... Eternal Darkness took less time to load on the Gamecube than it did on the N64!

They are much larger than carts and CD's so can hold huge games and even FMV cut scenes.

The discs look VERY COOL!

As they are relativly small and compatable the discs are cheaper and quicker to make so games can be dropped in price.

It can reduce the size of the console and inside processors so will mean less overheating and a more portable console.

Cons:

It isn't as big as a DVD.

How dumb are you Top score? I mean carts were good as they had low loading, didn't need a memory card and couldn't be pirated. CD's were good because they could hold large games and were cheap to make.

Nintendo have got the best from carts and the best from CD's and combined them in this disc. Oh and if you compress the Gamecube disc it is as large as a DVD if you compress it several times it can be larger... but you do not need to be that large.

No the PS2 ports are about £20 and it is games like Mario sunshine, eternal dArkness and STarfox adventures that are £30.

As for the Gamecube discs they are cheaper to produce because they are made by PAnasonic, DVD's are a joint venture with sony and Phillips and as the Gamecube optical discs are smaller and cheaper to produce they can be cheaper.... for christs sake Resident Evil does not cost more than £30 anywhere and that is the only 2 disc Gamecube game.

Pfft, about 30 of my friends with PS2's suck at playing games, only one of them is actually on PAR with me, and that's because he's been gaming since he was 3, like moi. And because he's used to the high difficulty of games on his NES, SNES and N64.

GTA: Vice City took me about a week to complete to the last mission, about 3 to get 100%, I can't say the same about Mario Sunshine, I'm still at 115 shines, and I got that the day after release. Higher Skill Level? My bumhole.

Top score, you have about as much knowledge of what you're talking about as a deranged monkey. I shall now produce a hammer, and whack these simple facts into your head;

1) The upgrades for Xbox Splinter Cell are a mix of free and premium content.

2) Any extras you get on the PS2 / GC versions are no more than what Xbox owners can download, or get for free of the OXM cover disc, or from Activision itself.

3) The premium content will be exclusive to Xbox as you're somewhat lacking a HD for the GC and PS2 at the moment, though the PS2 has one in existence.

4) Whilst Splinter Cell is indeed good, many "furious" X Box owners have played, finished it, and seen all it has to offer apart from the upcoming new content. You're getting excited about a six month old game.

5) Why not get excited about Gamecube games, rather than launching on a pointless "how many people can I p*$$ off today" topic.

Thank you,

You Xbox fanboys bite even easier than the Ninty fanboys, just because Bill paid Ubi soft extra to make sure it came out on Xbox earlier than PS2 and GC, don't blame me that you have the unfinished beta version.
