I also got a Japanese copy of Tekken Tag for £8, so I can now enjoy Tekken at full speed too. Although that will all be meaningless by the end of next month... SOUL CALIBUR! Woohoo!
:-)
According to this site, you can still switch discs without any modifications to your PS2. Who's lying here?
More reliable and dont need to swap, if you get a good one.
Anyway, Emerelda, theres no such thing as a boot disk for the PS2 that will work by itself without anything else like a modchip or little flip-top kit like that. So dont just buy the disks on their own.
The boot discs are called "Swap Magic", and are now on version 2. You need the correct version for your machine as well (i.e Eur, USA, or J). I got mine from www.psxservices.co.uk who only sell the European discs (as far as I know.) You can't download these off any sites or burn them yourself, the discs were pressed with intentional 'bad' sectors so that home CD burners can't handle them. Anything you see on Kazaa isn't the real deal.
There are various methods of swapping the discs without pushing eject, like I say I bought a flip top case from my local independant store (but I think you can get them online too).
No problems with any games I have bought. Some people have had problems with certain titles, but only on American PS2s (which have some trouble with PAL software anyway).
Good thing about the disc is there can always be a version 3...
Whats it called?
Where can I get one?
Does it run all PS2 games or only certain titles?
Tell me these three things and I'll be your best friend for ever!
