Stryke took another swig of whisky. He closed his eyes and sighed as the cool liquid travelled down his body, and damaged his liver. He knew it wouldn’t do him any good, but he didn’t care.
He stepped out from the bar, which he also knew as home, and was greeted by the evil stench of pollution. He walked down the busy streets, full of all kinds of people, most of them in rags. He was used to it by now though. The drink, drugs, prostitution, illness-it was just a daily occurrence. He heard a strange grunt from an alley, and glanced towards it’s source. He regretted it, and quickly carried on his way.
“Hey, Stryke! Over here!”
Stryke looked to his left, and saw Your Honour sitting in a Ford Escort on the side of the road. He hurried over to him, struggled to open the extremely rusty door and joined YH.
“You still got one of these? Everyone’s going round in those hover-carts now, why don’t you ya old fart?”
“Those hover-carts use petrol as well.” YH said a matter-of-factly.
“And?”
“Well, I’d prefer to be down here on the ground if I run out.” He replied, bluntly.
YH started the engine.
10 minutes later…
The car revved up, and they finally got away.
“You been watching the news?” Stryke asked between gulps of whiskey.
“Nah, I prefer Robots From Hell.”
“Well, Lord VenomByte’s planning some sort of expedition.” Stryke told him.
“Really? Where to?”
“Dunno, but I heard it’s somewhere dangerous, and he wants to try and find this necklace. It’s all powerful or something. Supposedly, his magic skills have been waning as of late. He tried to clean the whole palace using magic the other day, and ended up destroying the bathroom.”
“Oh, right. Well, I would watch the news to hear more about it, but today’s Robots From Hell is about Tony Rainbird’s experience with a rebellious 220-Series. Very interesting…”
They continued to drive through the bustling city, not knowing exactly where they were going. Fortunately, before they had driven up to the huge impending hole in the road which they had no idea was there, something caught their attention. A big crowd was gathering around something…or someone. Smoke was coming from somewhere, but it wasn’t a fire.
“Wanna check it out?” YH asked.
Stryke nodded, and as the Escort coughed to a stop, they jumped out and headed over to…whatever was going on over there.
--------------------------
"You've been attacked again?" asked YH, staring at mystique
"Quit staring at my ripped open top" she replied.
Just then, there came a roar from just beyond the clearing. YH and Mystique turned just in time to see the creature emerge. Frozen in terror, she couldn't tear her eyes away from the monster. It was huge. It must've been about eight feet tall, and was covered in silvery hair. It looked like a brown bear, only bigger. And not brown, obviously.
The creature's red eyes fixed on her, and she screamed, though she didnt know it. She was almost in a trance, transfixed by the monsters glare. She was dimly aware of the people around her running around, fetching weapons, but it seemed so far away. Her ears didn't register the commotion. She saw the monster swing its clawed paw at sheepy, before her vision greyed over too, as she fainted.
----------------------
Ant wasn't sure when he'd last taken particular notice of the scenery around him, but looking around now he saw that they were no longer surrounded by rocks and dirt, but by trees and plants too. The land wasn't flat either. In fact, on the horison Ant could just about make out a mountain range. It was getting late now though, so they'd have to stop soon. The sun had almost set.
As if by magic his thoughts were answered, he saw an old stone castle off in the distance. He pointed it out to Goatboy, and the two of them headed towards it. They fancied it would be rather better than chancing themselves to sleep in the rough.
"Who'd have thought we'd find an old castle like that in the middle of Transylvania, huh?" said Goatboy
"yeah" said Ant. "I have no idea who might live there."
--------------------
"Are you okay?" asked Sryke
Mytsique pulled herself to her feet. She felt okay, for now at least.
"yeah. What happened?" she asked
"You fainted."
"No, with the creature you retard."
"Oh, sheepy got wounded, but he's okay. Snake saved our skins there, really. He broke it's neck."
"Surely it was too tall for that?"
"Well, it was nearer the ground after er-no kicked it in the nuts"
"Oh."
Mystique was lying. She didn't feel alright at all. She felt sick. She'd felt sick before the second creature had attacked her. What was that other thing that had attacked her last night? She hadn't seen it clearly, but it had been about man size. It wasn't human though, she was sure of that much.
The group were huddled around a fire for their evening meal. Snake had found some rabbits, and snapped their necks. They were cooking now, over the open fire.
"Okay, this looks just about done" said er-no
He proceeded to dole out a few portions to the rest of the group. Luckily, they had taken some plates and some silverware with them, so they ate with them.
Mystique gave out a small cry of pain, and threw down her fork
"What's wrong?"
"The fork... it's hot. You must've had it in the fire."
YH picked up the fork
"Feels fine to me."
He handed mystique the fork
"Ouch!" she screamed, throwing down the fork. In a temper, she stormed off and left the group to their meal.
She lay down in the grass, not far away, nursing her hand. What was wrong? It had definitely hurt when she'd held that silver fork. Why was that?
No matter anyway. She wasn't feeling hungry. She still felt a little strange. Almost like her skin was itching, but not quite. She decided to forget about this, and relax. She looked up at the night sky, and took a deep, calming breath. It was a nice clear sky tonight. She could see the stars, and the moon. Almost a full moon, too. Probably would be tomorrow night, she thought.
He waited hungrily, before finally deciding to venture outside of the dark forest. He was less intelligent than humans, but more so than monkeys and dolphins, and knew that their would be prey there.
He slowly walked, his massive furry feet creating huge footprints on the soft, wet mud. A bird slept on a tree just above him. He grabbed it, and ate. But it was not enough, no where near enough!
He was nearing the edge of the forest, he could hear voices.
"Hey Snake, c'mon!!"
BAM!!
"Snake, don't try and shoot Sheepy."
"Damn."
The creature licked it's lips, and was about to rampage towards when someone tapped him on the back.
"Hello there Big Evil Monster. Why are you going to feed on those innocent people? Was it the other Big Evil Monster? Were they all bigger?? Eviller, maybe?"
The Big Evil Monster, unable to understand Dr Santrona physcholigical babble, hit him round the face and sent him sprawling, before heading out to eat...
"You OK?" he asked.
"Someving bit me..." she moaned.
Mys**tique looked up, her eyes bloodshot.
Er-no twirled across the background, singing in the rain.
--
The News Troll arrived, looking smug.
"I bring news!"
"No sh*t." said the 3rd Troll
"You didn't bite Mys**tique, gimpboy." finished the News Troll.
They all gasped.
"That was a good gasp." commented the 1s**t Troll.
"You bit some Romanian tart."
"So what's bitten Mys**tique..." began the Trolls, fearfully.
--
The events of the past couple of hours began to seep back into the prison that was his brain, and he remembered. The voice...his parents...what the hel had happened last night?
SMASH!!
The door was knocked off it's hinges, and Goatboy came running in.
"Ant, we've got to get out of here."
As the ran, Ant asked, "I thought you weren't trained in the martial arts?"
"Hey, doesn't mean I can't kick a door down," he replied.
They ran up to what looked like the front door, and stopped. Goatboy gulped, and opened it. Freedom. Nothing weird, nothing strange. They could just walk out now, and continue on their journey.
"After you, Ant."

As they continued on, Goatboy noticed that Ant was kind of quiet. "Something up Ant?"
"No, no...nothing."
"Something's wrong. What?"
"Ohhh, it's nothing. Just I heard this...nah, it was just a dream."
"Dreams are important too, you know. Look, I'm not gonna bug you about it. You don't have to tell me what happened. But keep it in your mind, in that mad little head of yours. Whatever you heard, could become important. Remember it."
Ant nodded, and Goatboy, satisfied, carried on.
"Do you have the faintest idea what you just said?"said YH
"Well, thats what they say in the movies!"
"They also say "Aagh, it's eating my head" and "Whoops, let's skip and dance in precipitation" but you don't see any of us doing that."retorted YH.
They both turned their head as er-no skipped about, twirling an umbrella. They shrugged and turned back to Mystique, who was stirring.
"Where am I?" she moaned.
"Deepest Russia. You've been knocked out for five weeks. We didn't think you were going to make it." said Stryke, happily.
"Stryke..." warned Sheepy.
"Oh allright."he muttered."You've been attacked. You were only out for 5 day..."he looked at YH and sighed "..minutes."
Er-no twirled across the background, swinging on trees and the like.
"Do you remember what attacked you?" asked Sheepy.
"It was very small." she said, faintly.
"Sounds like YH."
"Hur hur hur. This is a U story, don't ya know."
"B****r."
"there you go again."
"Sod you."
"Meh..."
--
The News Troll arrived at the camp.
"I bring news! And Saturdays Sun."
They all gathered round the Sun.
"But I also bring news!"
The trolls turned.
"The 3rd troll attacked Mystique!"
"Yes, we know." said the 2nd troll."This here is the 3rd troll, and he told us all about it. When he got back....three hours ago."
"Really?"
"Yes."said the 3rd troll.
"Damn."
"No! Go away!"
"Why go away?"
Ant stopped. The voices disappeared. Everything was quiet. The door shut behind him, and he was surrounded by pitch black.
"I said, why go away?"
Ant twisted and turned, looking for the source of the words. He could see no one, but then again, even if someone were there, it was too dark to notice them.
"Who are you?" Ant said, gaining all the courage he could muster.
"Who am I?" Came the voice. A man...no, a woman. Strange. He couldn't quite tell. "I think you should be asking yourself that very question. What's your name?"
"Ant."
"Ant..." The voice waited for another name.
"Ant."
"Ah, so that is your full name. Well, Ant, where were you born?"
No answer.
"Okay then. Who were your parents?"
Once again, Ant could say nothing.
"Where have you lived the past few years?"
Ant knew the answer to this one, "In the dungeons, at Lord VenomByte's castle."
Something tapped on Ant's back. He jumped, and swang his fist. Nothing connected.
"Don't be a fool," the voice said, harshly. "Why are you asking me who I am, when you can't even tell me who you are?"
"I'm Ant!" He cried, angry.
"No, you're not."
A cold rush of air brushed his face, as though someone had flown past him.
"Your not just 'Ant.' You're much more. If only you could realise..."
Ant felt the rage burn deep inside him. It flowed through him, and soon he was creating another ball of electricity. Of light. Of power.
"That's it...release your anger. Release it."
Ant threw the ball. He expected to see a flash, or at least hear something. But there was nothing.
"No, no, you can't throw it in here. After all, you don't even know where you are, do you? You're a nothing. You're pathetic. I mean, what sort of person doesn't even know who they are!? Want to know what happened to your parents, Ant?"
"No," Ant said, defiantly.
The voice continued, "Want to know how they were killed? How they were brutally murdered!?"
"NO!"
"Do you want revenge on the man who destroyed them!?! DO YOU WANT TO MAKE HIM BLEED!?!? BLEED, LIKE YOU PARENTS DID!?!?"
"YES!!!"
Suddenly, everything seemed to calm down, and the voice said with a laugh, "Good, good. That's what I wanted to hear."
And then there was light.
There were voices down the corridor,
Ant thought he heard them say...
"Welcome to the Hotel California
Such a lovely place
Such a lovely face
Plenty of room at the Hotel California
Any time of year, you can find it here "
"You're just in time for supper" said the girl who lead them in. "Please go through to the dining room"
-----
Goatboy was enjoying himself immensely. The food here was simply outstanding. Ans had gone to bed early, to get some rest.
Goatboy called to the Captain,
"Please bring me my wine"
He said, "We haven't had that spirit here since nineteen sixty nine"
-----------
Ant heard those voices still calling from far away,
they woke him up in the middle of the night
and he heard them say...
"Welcome to the Hotel California
Such a lovely place
Such a lovely face
They livin' it up at the Hotel California
What a nice surprise, bring your alibis "
------------------
Goatboy surveyed the dining hall. Mirrors on the ceiling,
The pink champagne on ice
And the lady said "We are all just prisoners here, of our own device"
--------
Last thing Ant remembered, he was
Running for the door, thinking
"I had to find the passage back
To the place I was before"
"Relax" said the night man,
"We are programmed to receive.
You can checkout any time you like,
but you can never leave "

YH, Stryke, Snake, Sheepy, Mystique and er-no were camped out in the wilderness. They'd had to make camp in the woods. It was late now, and all were asleep, warmed from the chilly night air by the makeshift fire sill burning brightly.
Sheepy, YH, and Stryke were next to the fire. er-no was a little further off, in the shelter of a tree, with Snake. Mystique was in the shelter of a large rock , just the other side of the fire.
An ember from the fire crackled loudly, spitting ash to one side.
Stryke woke up. He turned to look at the fire, suprised that it was still up. What time was it? It couldn't be much past midnight, he didn't think.
Something ruslted in the trees.
Stryke was usddenyl wide awake. What was that? He sat up, and strained his ears, listening for some other sound.
*snap*
A twig broke. Stryke got to his feet, and pulled a stick from the fire. It was still burning one end. It would do as a torch.
Suddenly, there came a piercing scream from Mystique's direction. Stryke sprinted over, and was there in seconds. He could just about make out Mystique, on the ground screaming, frantically flailing her arms to beat off her attacker. Stryke didn't have much of a chance to see her attacker. No sooner had he arrived, than it leapt away from her and ran off into the woods. Mystique carried on screaming.
"What's going on?" panted YHm arriving on the scene
Stryke turned to see that the rest of his companions had been woken by the noise.
"Something attacked Mystique" replied Stryke.
YH bent down to look at Mystique. She'd stopped screaming.
"She's passed out from the shock" he said.
Then he saw the wound. He left forearm was bleeding badly. There was too muchblood to be able to make out much of the would.
"Get me some bandages" he said.
I'm non-damaging.
Im not being vulgar, rude, ignorant or indeed anything of the like.
Therefore am i not entitled to post?.
Cheers.
