"Freeola New Layout - Your thoughts?"

Title says it all.

No not signatures, please, not signatures!

I've heard rumours from a friend of a friend, who knows some guy who's cousin works at Freeola. And they've said they might be introducing smilies and signatures.

Now I dont mind them on forums I infrequently post on. But that would be the nail in the coffin if they introduced them on here.

Also, warn people for posting :@, this isn't MSN =P you know who you are. ;)

I'd imagine the css file was being changed or something like that hence why the font lost all of its styles. It's good that theres an option to hide avatars, I don't personally ever hide images on sites but for those people who don't like them its a nice choice. Thats the thing people forget about the more feature heavy forums I think, the fact that you could quite easily make it similar to Freeola's (old) no signatures and no avatar quite easily.

I agree about the dash boarders, they're rubbish. Although if you don't like the avatars, just hide them. Is it me or are our names now underlined? I've clicked on mine and it's the purple colour you normally get when you click on a link.

EDIT: Ah, they've changed it back.

Plain definitely wasn't the most apt word, I just wanted to squeeze it in while this place looked like a forum archive!

By plain I hope you mean less chunky, no dash borders and no avatars. They're the only things I dont like about this new layout. The rest is fine and I would even say, pretty good. =) BLJ keeps forgetting that I like some of it.

They feel their customers need forums of their own so they've created this. Atleast they took some of our advice (The yellow original posts)

Yeah, I was referring to myself as one of the old regulars. I'd much rather we went back to the days of Special Reserve, but this is Freeola now, and they obviously feel the change is necessary.
